Grubby and Rich both play amazing Samuros with a totally different play style. I managed to copy Grubby's split push Samuro with great success. But he is a hard to learn hero.

Also you can check Munkys, he is a Samuro main, played the last heroes lounge cup with Washed Out as solo lane and at HGC he played as sub in Dignitas while Wubby was arriving. He even did a talent analisis in Heroes Fire i think, and had about how much damage you miss changing some talents. The macro play is important, huge deal btw, but at least start using your clones to back and restore health meanwhile you leave a clone in lane and get xp. With master of illusion, you use Q, send a clone to b, Master illusion to that clone, wait some time to restore, and then R to the lane clone. At least something that keep me doing it wrong was using clones and send one to base while the other clone keep attacking minions, like i dunno why, the AI of the clone when you backed wants to return as soon as it can to attack those minions, and then you dont get any health back. So my advice there is to do it in a bush or behind your towers. And also if you are going full macro, the aoe damage at your critic hit is key. Another thing is, if you are new to the hero, then use E build, as it gives you a good 1 v 1 and more jukes potential without controlling like a master your clones, i do think heroes have builds teaching you how to play and use that hero, and then a GOOD build, like clones build. Is hard to master him, has a lot of potential and can carry almost lost games, but has a high skill cap, you can do lot of things with clones.

i'm still picking it in plat 1. it's nice if you can't get close enough for auto attacking someone to finish them of. you don't have to spend a lot of mana to kill waves (just use E and spend the rest on the enemy) and it's safer because you can keep your abilities (Q,W). i wouldn't pick it if the enemies have an alarak since it triggers the reflect ult. also you shouldn't always use W after (and especially right after) you use Q (assassins like kerrigan or chromie might miss there targets if you do that). it might also keep you from using W more often because you might want to save it for after the Q, which makes no sense.

probably because he could get hit by other aa besides zuljin that could take away the block e.g. zagara's 3 shots. i rarely pick block nowadays, because you can just stun your enemies and leave (and you heal the mage damage up nicely). you could take it against a raynor though because he has a large aa range.

Stukov was plat, the zag is a gm competitive player, he likely was just having a long day. He is actually really good.

They are playing against similar HIGH RANK players. The Stukov error: Literally less than a second to react for him. That's a GM ETC that ran him down and punished him. The Zagara: gets caught trying to push attack by an alert enemy tank with his CC still up. Remember that when you are talking about errors you see. If our intrepid hero ETC in this case was a Silver, neither of those mistakes get caught. Coaches in sports will tell you that the higher the league of play, the smaller the windows of opportunity get. That guy that was tearing it up in Junior league? He didn't just suddenly forget how to do that when he's struggling in Senior league. He's facing much better players and the windows for making his plays have gotten smaller.

NOT as a tank, in fact that is the role that should be self-sacrificing and covering the retreat path for others, so NO, that is a BIG NO, better die off in a fight and buy time for others to survive rather than not die as a tank lol

Youcan peel if you see they have a lot of diving heroes or ur backline is getting destroyed. Yrel is great at peeling. She gives armor healing and aoe stun.

Bruiser is basically played as a tank, most of the same things apply... let the assasins assasin. most bruisers tend to think they are assasins. YES you can help with kills and damage alot, but typically you should be doing more tank stuff. think about it, is it better to be diving there players hurting them but probably not killing them (of course if the kill is almost guaranteed go for it), or is it better to protect your healer and assasins?

It depends, bruisers tend to have more tools to actually kill if they dive into the backline, but at the sametime a good peel is game changing. So try to feel out the fight and practice both to see which is more effective with your playstyle.

You could peel while your tank isnt a defensive tank, like a Diablo, cos your team could feel helpful your peel. Meanwhile, with a johanna for ex, you can set up some fights more agressively and then jojo do the peel work, but dont forget you need to help them. Sometimes you can solve this just starting your engage from a passive position, to let your teammates follow you easier, and then peel maybe wont be neccesary. Is situational, i think the best advice is , being a Yrel main, to feel comfortable playing more passive or going hard to their backline, then you could fit in each situation your team need naturaly.

Basically: Be babysitter and explain your team how this game works

You cant say it better. For ex, the Washed out played a huge game with Granit Gaming at BoE in the Meta Madness cup, that game is huge to understand rotations and how important is to tanks give vision. Having in a same game Lauber and Sportbilly is a good example of how tanks play

That being said, plenty of useful stuff from this video, for example the notion of considering team comp to decide how to manage lane positioning.

Also preseason just started, so isnt as bad at all. Tanks always carry games in Hots, is such an important role ppl need to be at least good at it to understand how your tanks are going to work and do better rotations and stuff.

I agree with Max here. For a season that just started, he is doing well. I also think you're too hung up on something he mentioned in passing. The majority of the video was about the role, not win rates and he made no significant claims regarding his win rates. He was simply making a point about the influence a good tank has on a game.

@@ceige9907 i made one comment about it, then made another one complimenting the rest of the video overall so people wouldn't think i was obsessing on a negative only. That being said, statistically, percentages are ridiculous with low sample sizes. Win 1 game, 100%. Lose the next one, 50%. And usually notparadox is very detail oriented. Im not sure I'm hung up on it, just it stood out to me as a strange framing of info and so I mentioned it to see if anyone else noticed. You guys didn't, I guess, haha. All good. 👍
