This RU-vid video feels like it was written by a Rolex AD. I recently encountered some hens teeth at the Rolex AD, who stated that they were easier to find than an actual popular Rolex watch for sale! Of course other than some models that sell poorly, which he would gladly sell me. In the early 2000's I had bought 2 President models in white and yellow gold and received a 15% discount on each back then. Times have changed, haven't they! I deal with many high net worth individuals, and most wear cheap watches or watches that they purchased 20 or more years ago. These days, given the state of the world, luxury watches are in my opinion, a diminishing priority. And, given that they continue to go up in price while wages remain more or less stagnant, less and less individuals are inclined to pay the entrance fee.
It has been frustrating all the time with so called ADs in most countries I have visited. Given up hope of buying any Rolexes from the ADs . I believe they are flipping these watches to the grey markets for more profits .
Although sometimes I find that we are in an endless loop - some AD (that only sell Rolex) said they prefer to sell to existing customers or I can start by buying classic models. But if you have nothing to offer to me, how do I even become your customer? I'm glad I have a good SA that takes care of everything and will not sugarcoat anything. If some models are doable, he will tell you so you will keep your hopes up instead of waiting for the Daytona or GMT that is impossible to come by.
It the same whatever product you want to buy. Just use the common sense. Every person that wants to spend from 8000$ and up should be able to think that far. But maybe Im wrong thinking that?
