Sold mine earlier in 2021 after 3 years of ownership thinking it was boring and too sterile. Have been regretting that decision for awhile now. It really is the perfect watch.
I absolutely agree, bought mine from Chrono24 late last year, box and papers, very very good (barely worn) condition, running +3/4 secs per day for 10k (out the door) and have not looked back. This is already a classic and will only go up in price, so my logic was I knew I wanted it so no point in waiting.
My 1st Rolex which I picked up in Dec-20. It’s just an amazing watch to wear you nailed it you said it disappears on the wrist, the steel feels like silk. Truly an epic watch. Still THE best 3 hander ever made👌
I bought the 39mm last March and feel the same way about. Its a stunning design in simplicity and elegance. I would disagree slightly on the smaller 36 being better proportioned, I just feel its to small. I wouldn't be surprised to see Rolex bring back the 39mm. I also find that the other sports models in Rolex catalogue, now seem vulgar to me.
I love the watch, I haven't warn the submariner in ages... This watch still signals that you like watches, the sub may signal you're into rolex, gucci and bmw 🙃
Haven’t seen the new 36 in person but I hear it wears smaller than the old 36. I love my 39 don’t get the whole fuss over negative space, on my 7.25 inch wrist feels in proportion. Prefer explorer text at bottom, too crowded at top in my humble slightly biased opinion
I was fortunate enough to pick up a 214270 from an AD as a walk-in customer back in September of 2020. Wore it for two weeks and felt that it wasn't the watch for me. Back then they didn't fetch a premium over the retail price, so I passed it on for the same price that I bought it for. In hindsight I should have held on to the watch, even though I didn't like it.
