I really agree with you regarding the Omega Speedmaster. That was suppose to be my watch but when I saw it in person I was underwhelmed. The bracelet in comparison to the oyster leaves a lot to be desired.

Nice video, i purchased seven Rolex last year in 2023 all brand new some fully plastic wrapped, already April this year in down to only three I couldn't do with so many Rolex's, I kept sub ND, exp2, sub Kermit anniversary. Added Glashutte SeaQ 39.5mm in solid red gold, Breitling Cosmonaut platinum bezel, VC overseas Jaeger LeCoultre Polaris diver, waiting on the new Blancpain fifty fathoms 42mm Titanium 23 already paid for but my dealers says 2 more weeks.
Really enjoyed this. Nice vid and enjoyed the storytelling. I have a similar collecting style and have a vision also for my 10 watch collection… nice to see and hear how you built what is a truly impressive collection. Thank you for sharing.
They do.. a little. Lol. I love the watches more than how they "fit perfectly". Arguably i should stick to under 38mm, but I love these things and who really cares but me in the end?
Great video. Curious, Explorer 1 vs Submariner and why? I’m going back and forth between these two right now. Also considering the Ex2 but not sure if it should be first Rolex. Curious what you advice might be.

Haha , I'm likely never going to get a patek. I am talking to the ad but realistically... that means diddly squat. I helped a friend get a bb54. I'm just more enthused about the "big crown" heritage honestly. But i love that people love the 54. My pelagos fits my slot that would otherwise be a sea dweller. I love the fxd, but something about pass through straps just accentuates how small my wrist is ultimately.

Very impressive collection! I think I’m the only Rolex fanboy who doesn’t like the Daytona. I’m content with my 4 Rolex but I’d like to get a polar explorer. You played the AD game better than I did but at my AD I’d have to purchase several soft pieces I don’t want to get what I want. With the economy trending downward gray prices should follow and I’ll be looking for what I want. I should visit my AD-haven’t been there in a while 😎!
Cool. Interesting, what's the point of having Tudor with black bezel, when you have Submariner with black bezel? Could be some more different watch instead.
For me, my entire collection is kinda dumb. Every piece could be a one and done. I just gravitate towards references that are like that, regardless of what else is in the collection. The only pieces that's less versatile is the blue pelagos and there are days where I wish I got the black! But I recently picked up the Black FXD :P
I think you gotta fix the ugly wire going to your overhead projector buddy. Why not table mount it so cables won't be running in the middle of the ceiling?
@@aussieexpatwatches 😄 sorry didn't mean to sound rude 😄. But from personal experience, I had one but used it for less than a year then just never bothered using it again. Ended up just watching from bedroom then fell asleep as always 🙄 hahahaha... somehow with films unlike music you run out of movies to watch. Music you can keep repeating and they still sound good or better 😄 can't say the same for reruns though 😄 Just my opinion 😄
You need a yachtmaster 40 rhodium. I have one and it’s blow me away. I’ve got the hulk, black on black GMT in steel, black on black GMT in full gold, DJ 36 and an omegea seamaster (plus couple of moonswatches). Yachtmaster is seriously beautiful on the wrist and much closer to the daytona fit than a sub
Ive considered it many times. I love the rhodium dial version. But my wife has the everose on oysterflex yacht master... which I feel are the best yacht master atm. My wife said NOT to get a 40mm everose YM. So... that's it...

Have you used Bulang and Sons for your Explorer? They have amazing straps I'm on it AD list for that watch. Can't afford more than one good watch, so hopefully Explorer will do the trick (have sold various watches over the years - 1861 Speedy, IWC Mark 16, Aqua Terra etc... the quest for the "one and done" continues)

I've been considering it for years...if omega made a thin small water resistant watch, similar to the Explorer or black bay 54 in size, with a bond dial like 2254.50 for example, THAT would be my perfect watch. I love omega more than any other brand.... but for now the Explorer is my number 1 choice
I do feel you every now and then. For this watch, yes, oyster is perhaps better. BUT.... there's literally no other watch that has jubilee as an option (in sports). So I have to pick it. If I get another GMT, it will be in oyster.
Props to the Daytona!, black Submariner Date, Explorer 36, and GMTs. The green Sub always seemed a bit over-rated to me. But to each his own. Get rid of the Tudors and MoonSwatch. Put Tudor in the back mirror. Use that space in the watchbox to upgrade to AP or Patek.
I felt a bit guilty at the time showing it as "part of the collection" because at that time it was actually a safe queen waiting for a special occasion. That special occasion was the 10 year anniversary with my wife, she got a gold daytona, I got the batgirl.
I asked for it the day after christmas and got it on that visit. But thats how my SA remembers it. From my perspective, I had bought the speedy in July and thought she knew I wanted the panda. Im not very direct... i dont pester them about what I want.
Would you consider adding the turquoise OP36? Also I own the new Air-King and love the larger dial for my aging eyes while it is quite thin for a sport watch. It is a great watch to wear when you want to stay low key & don’t want people to know that you are wearing a Rolex.
*Staying low key means when not feeling like wearing my Pepsi, Panda, or Starbucks. I thought Batgirl is low key in term of the color scheme but people will quickly recognize the jubilee bracelet.
