The best looking Rolex in my book. My wife says that two tones are EARNED by the men who wear them. I’m not sure I’ll ever own a Rolex. The AD treatment was less than desirable the two times I tried. But I’ve earned my two tone. And love wearing it.

We vited Verona three years ago to see the opera. We found an amazing restaurant next to the arena, so good was it we went back for the next three nights. Sitting in the warmth of a summer's evening with amazing food and wine was simply heaven.

Rootbeer... new or old? Out of all the popular Rolex, i find the rootbeer is the one that looks least like the old ones. The new ones have a lot of power and majesty to them. The old ones truly have the faded vintage vibe. One can mistake an older sub for a new sub. That would never happen with a rootbeer.

The new one 126711chnr- My AD says it’s more attainable and the price is competitive to stainless gmt’s on the gray market. It’s a bit different which I like. Best regards

I’m also considering a TT Rolex. I just passed on the new Batman at the AD because I wear my Tudor GMT so much that I didn’t want to double down. So now I’m thinking of the TT Sub or the new Rootbeer GMT with the rose gold. I’m leaning towards the TT Sub with black dial. Any thoughts?

Just thought I would check out this video, as I was after a regular Sub - date, but my AD suggested this may be available slightly sooner? Already gone down similar route with a Tudor Black Bay S & G, but was pleased to hear you didnt think S & G wasn't too OTT, as some jealous types might? Defintely prefer black over blue anyway. Anyway, great video, & keep up the good work!

Just got the 126613LN today. It's the same configuration as the Submariner featured in this video but the new 41 mm version. Looks just like the older version to me, just a slightly different case size and shape- and a 70 power reserve which is nice.

Another beautiful video. Btw, I got the call for the Yacht Master while traveling and had to recruit a friend to run over to Tourneau to buy it. Didn't know everything had to be done in person...I guess it's good for the brand but if I waited years for a GMT and got the call while traveling, I'd be crushed! Regardless, as of an hour ago, I am the proud owner of a Yacht Master Rhodium 40

I own the Sea Dweller in black and gold. As you stated, bold and beautiful. A powerhouse of a watch and definitely lucky to have a 7.5 inch wrist to wear it proudly. Great job on the video, another performance worthy of Cannes.

This exact watch (116613LN) also has a super special variation with an extremely limited run with diamond face (8 diamonds to be exact instead of those superluminovas) and gold text instead of white. So they could be future collectibles.

@ hi again. I've had change of heart and for what I pay for a pre owned gold/steel sub from over 10 years ago I can have a brand new yacht master 40mm the same as one you reviewed . There very classy and think I would be happier spending my money on a new piece. Just got to decide on colour way now.!

@@davidgriffiths8720 For me, there is no question. The rhodium dial is supreme. Having said that, the blue will not disappoint. There's just something slightly more mature and elevated about the rhodium. Don't go on photos, go in and try them on! Great watches are always different in the flesh.

@ I've tried a few different ones on. The one you have does look good on me. That's top of my list, looks good with a suit and also a polo top and jeans. I'm based in Leicestershire and there available at my local ad. I have a slimmer wrist but the 40mm wears like my datejust. Been saving up for 12months now so be good to finally get one on my wrist. I've tried the older submariner two tone on again today and then the yacht master and that made my mind up. I will have a two tone sub one day but now the yacht master is top of my list. Good things come to those who wait. I just need a yacht now to finish off the look! Enjoy your weekend and have a few whiskeys for me👍

I also tried the new SD in two tone. It's a weird one. Trying to be elegant but can't. It's too bulky. It looks like my two tone sub with an allergy.

I really like some of the shots you do in the video, great review. I used to have this watch, but sent it back, within the returns period. My problem was, yes it's nice, yes it's a rolex, but what i paid for it, it simply didn't represent that value/quality by any means

Beautifully done video. But I’ve never been a fan of the Rolesor option in Rolex dive watches; I much prefer 904L. Rolesor is much better seen in classic Rolex watches such as Day-Date or Datejust.

It's recommended to lay your Rolex on the crown (which can be replaced more easily than the case) against scratches. Anyway great video, it's about the journey. Greetings from Holland.

Sorry but I have to comment on the Galileo looking up to the sky from the tower you showed because the actual construction of the tower was not implemented until 1767, about 150 years after Galileo left Padua and moved to Florence. I went to school in that beautiful city and lived in Padova for a few years. I remember it fondly. Great show. Recently subscribed and enjoying you reviews and your presentation. Previous comments have all captured the quality content and production that went into this vid. The music was stirring and inspired me to appreciate the beauty of your 2 tone. The angles you shot of the watch showed the warmthand play of light this combo offers. As for Padova beautiful and redolent in culture.......definitely my next long weekend trip north!! You mentioned the arcades and this architecture seems common in the area, I walked Bologna's and that one is around 8 to 9 Kms long taking you outside of the city.

There is no other city in the world that has as many arcades as Bologna: all together the arcades measure more than 38 kilometers in length only in the historic center, which reach 53 km counting those outside the city.

Yes I recall reaching a church on the top of a hill and rough calculations toted up to about 18 Kms there and back to hotel. I really enjoyed the city!!

The Timeless Watch Channel No is the answer to that i wore it for 6 months just could not get to appreciate it, just did not sit on my wrist think because of the Rose Gold fair skin! It also scratched really badly in general office wear so made the decision to let it go.Anyway that’s a lost opportunity as solid it in April and bought a Explorer 11 Polar for every day which my AD let me have and used the Root Beer money on a 12 month old Skydweller Rolesor Black dial and i am having reservations on this too! Bit too in your face bit dressy, so hence i want back in on Submariner LN. Keep me in mind if you decide to sell, i would need to sell the Skydweller but market as yet not as down as i thought! Thanks for the message and love the videos, you will cost me a fortune as Tonia who i shared the videos with has made me promise to visit all from the series!! Stay safe Best Barry
