you see, unless you're a fascist, you have the right to object to these songs and not sing them, every bit as much as other Celtic fans have the right not to object to them and sing them. Unless this is selective democracy....
Yes of course you have the right to object. It’s when that objection becomes full on criminalisation and harassment that’s a problem. I don’t see anyone getting there door kicked in because they object to the songs. Plenty of young men have had there life’s turned upside down because they do sing the songs. I include the other side in that as well
I understand about the legality issue, Everyone has a right to voice their opinions and beliefs through whatever medium they deem appropriate, within the law. Just to say, I wasn't intending to imply that it should be illegal. Just that there's no place in football for it particularly with the current rules and regulations enforced by governing bodies and national legislation.
I still don't think that this song should be sang at matches. There's a time and a place, but I just don't think at Celtic matches is acceptable anymore. Also, please don't spam me with argumentative comments. I'm a Celtic fan, I know all about the song and the history surrounding it. I just don't think it has a place during our matches in this day and age.
