I think they both have their place. I can take my car out just about ANY night and get a decent roll race against someone without risking going to jail. The same cannot be said for a dig race.
I would add also technical aspect of roll vs dig - Dig racing is much more stressful for your car components like driveshaft and other and roll racing will safe some expense for broken parts after many dig starts. However from person perspective dig racing is much more fun due to bigger force working on you and you feel much better acceleration from 0 km/h. Still personally I love acceleration from 0 to 260 km/h - in Europe we can do this :)
Digs are for skilled drivers. Rolls are for fast cars. I managed to win digs with my 200hp car against 500hp cars every time. When it comes to rolls I lose every time.😂
Regarding Coyote engines and tics, I wouldn't run a Coyote engine without an oil pressure gauge that shows actual numbers, as opposed to the stock gauge that just shows normal or not. Also, I'd run a 10W30 full synthetic oil and see how the pressures look on the gauge. Roll racing is for people that don't know how to drive their car.
For motor oil, I run Royal Purple HPS and have no issues, I’m running the GT350 mani, with tons of other mods, still fastest all motor DIG car in my hometown, nothing wrong with staying a NA warrior bro, let me know if you want to know more about my build

I prefer from a dig because of the skill it takes to launch a car. Roll racing is very popular around here. You can change the outcome of the same race by changing the roll speed. I've destroyed a significantly faster 2013 gt500 from a 40 roll but from a 60 they put buss lengths on me.
I mean anyone can roll, it’s like if you have a trash 1st an 2nd gear, roll race is like to give you a better chance, cus your take off is trash or you can’t drive.
