Digital photography pollutes the planet even more. The poisonous minerals for the electronics and batteries and the huge amount of electricity needed for the trillions of images stored on servers around the world. With color negative film, it's always better to err on the side of overexposure. Depending on the film stock, I've seen shots overexposed 4-5 stops and still have a useable negative to make adjustments to in post. Although he pushed his film to 800, I knew f/16 and 1/125 sec were going to result in underexposure judging by the lighting conditions. It works in some shots where there are really bright lights, but most of his shots are extremely muddy looking.

Yeah, just get it developed pushed one stop.

Hi Ian, I drop my films off at snappy snaps and get them to email me the scans. Usually done in an hour or so.

+PABLO STRONG VLOGS did you set your meter to 400 and then process it at 800? Or did you set your meter to 800 and process as if it were 800?? Usually I set my meter to 200 or 320 and then process it like a normal 400 roll Beautiful images by the way!!

DarkFall01 hi! I set the camera to 800 for the meter readings, and then had it developed at 800. Hope that explains it :)

you have to be careful, there are new replacements that dont use mercury but are the same size but, they are a different voltage but its easy to work out the required adjustment using another camera and just change the setting manually from the given reading. Too long ago for me to remember the offset but its easy to work out. I did it last a decade ago so excuse my memory. Do change the battery often because unlike the old mercury cell that fails suddenly at the correct voltage, the modern cells tend to lose voltage as they die ;-)

That's not the point of this video or why he chose this camera and film. It's more of a fun thing to try for the day. I do the same thing...I'll choose one type of film for the day or week with one camera that has one fixed lens such as a 50mm or 28mm. It also makes you think more and shoot less frames. Digital makes people lazy and film had a whole other look to it. With digital you can snap 1,000 images but you'll probably snap 900 you won't keep. I know I'm not really on the subject anymore but that's just my thoughts. It's more for the fun and experience of shooting that combo with that film.
