It’s not easy when you don’t have the chance to square up. Since it’s “illegal” to fight, you often times just get tied up, unless two guys have some real forethought prior
@@user-ef6cz9cx3g They haven't fought before, that's why they act like this, they see clips of old hockey fights and try to recreate it, and normally the end result is a good game getting ruined by idiots like these guys
As a someone who plays roller hockey 3 times a weekc90% of the time its one person starting shit and everyone else just looking at them wonder what there problem is.
Yeah in my elder years fights are mostly started because the refs are kids or D1 players that dont think anything is a penalty. So things slowly escalate, until one side has just had enough.
As someone who plays roller often, I’m embarrassed by these, lol. But, truthfully, this is really about all that ever happens in them. Since it’s not allowed, guys won’t ever have a chance to square up before someone jumps in. Not to mention you often have full cages, and I ain’t punching it without gloves on. I’ve been in plenty of these, and only a couple of times was there ever opportunities to throw real punches, but they had to be body shots. Which, if you don’t know, can hurt like hell especially without a chest protector like ice. Still cool to see, and actually pretty laughable how relatable the fights are, lol. Also reminded me of HS ice hockey, where it isn’t allowed either… just a lot more wrestling and body slams
I would play roller in the summer to keep my legs strong while my rink would work on and repair the normal stuff. Almost all of the fights in games I played were roller. Those guys live for getting scrappy for no reason. I can’t tell you how many times the police had to be called. Swinging sticks at people, body slamming refs, going into the other teams locker room to fight, nothing was off limits. I was so fortunate to play with a chill group that didn’t often get into trouble
I can't tell whose talking but did that guy really just say "Why did you have to do that for" Immediately after he just watched his own teammate push the guy down?
I would disagree with you other then there is a pushing action, But he was in the goalies crease and way to close and the goalie was prob caught in the cross fire.
@@Emotionless0000 People get protective of the goalie so when he gets deep in the crease people gunna be mad it was his choice to get that far in the crease.
@@redspark7533 I understand that I play hockey since I'm 4 years old, but still.. if I was the dude who got pushed I would've beat up the guy who pushed me lol. Don't push me on your goalie if you don't want him to be injured it's stupid lmao
been playing roller my whole life and its always been treated like ice hockey in travel / semi and pro games. It's very frowned upon in house leagues tho in my experience. if you fight then your kicked out the league, possibly for good. But I remember plenty of fights in travel roller and watching semi pro games.
I had way more fun and got less injured playing roller than ice. The tempers just weren't as bad when we were shooting a puck with tiny wheels on it. My orange Easton Synergy was like a bull whip!
Ice hockey fights > roller hockey fights > ball hockey fights. The last ones are just regular old bar fights, without quite as much alcohol to dull the senses
I remember when I was in high school we did roller hockey games in the gym, and there were always assholes who wanted to fight like this and it basically ruined the game for the rest of us who just wanted to play. I remember before I hurt my ankle and stopped playing there was this one guy, wore number 99 who started a big brawl and tried fighting me. Everyone was pushing and shoving and yelling and I finally had enough. After taking a stick to the face I threw off my gloves and started punching, I got 99 in the face a few times. His dad got into the rink and started telling me off, so I popped him in the nose and fought him. When the school asked why I did it I said, "He walked into my rink during a fight to tell me off, he wanted it.
I love how 2 of these are at the rink I currently play at and one is at a rink I practiced at in highschool LMAO. Shout out west covina and castle park
I'm so glad the ice stays in all year long in Canada, roller hockey is not even one quarter as fun and exiting has the real deal. The egos on these guys you would think they were playing in a league that people other than themselves even knows exist.
