Great! It works! I disassembled, regreased and reassembled my front and rear rollerbrakes BR-C6000 following your instruction. It took some time but seeing the wear and tear inside makes me think it was worth it. Now I know the right grease is on the right spot and will stay there for a long time coming. Thank you very much.
I've been fiddling around with that break all morning today, until I found your video. Though I cannot understand Russian, it was clear and instructive enough to help me make that thing work again, and the nice music even made my anger go away. Thanks a lot Валерий!
This gives me confidence to start opening up my own rollerbrakes for some maintenance. Something wrong with the return spring, and after 14 years it won't be a bad idea to clean and regrease the inside possibly. Thanks for the very clear video.
Rozebrałem swój chamulec i dokładnie wyczyściłem.
That was one of the best videos I have seen yet and I reassembled my Inter M Roller Break perfectly. Before watching the video I had fiddled with mine for about two hours - watched your video, degreased all the parts and washed / dried them and went through the steps with you. Thank you!
Anthony van Duyn hello.. Seem like I am doing something wrong.. I am following the instruction but some how i can not align top black part to grip the edge at the same time align three tabs in side.. do you know what am i doing wrong?
Mountain Top Motel To quote the Park Tools Big Blue Book of Bicycle Repair regarding roller breaks... "don't touch them and don't open them" (simplified version). It was very fiddly back and forward and everything had to line up just perfectly. Don't expect an easy job and pause and continue with each step (I know the video makes it look easy).
Thank you God for guide me to this one who helped me reassemble the brakes.. But, shouldn't it be unlegal to buy a bike with disc brakes who shoved up to be a drum brake?
Because, neither the video maker, nor one of the subscribers, mentioned lubrication - at least, not in English - until now. So (and according to another video): Lubricate with "SHIMANO ROLLER BRAKE GREASE" through the little hole, until the brake becomes silent. That can also be done prevently.
I didn't understand any of it. Consider enabling English subtitles please. Or else kindly make English dubbed version of this video as I like 100% information.
Gediminas Jesinas They don't pull up hard (the bigger versions such as on Bakfiets.nl are better but the heat sink can rattle on bigger ones). But are LONG LASTING & LOW MAINTENANCE. Like disc breaks it doesn't matter if you buckle your wheel.
Anthony van Duyn Yes, already had experience with them. It seems single coaster brake works like two such drum brakes. They dissipate heat better but as much as I had experience with coaster brakes didn't heat so much that grease started to smoke.
Chamulce rolkowe to shit.
