Oh so many things wrong - Using Roller Derby size track not 100m cone setting Using in-lines No on can actually "race" backwards in video.... On quads in 60-70s Lynnwoood Rollaway had Fri & Sat night public session recess 11:15pm. we had about 10 guys in any given year during that time, that could go 80%+ as fast backwards as they could forward. Full bent over crossing on the corners, passing, drafting all in the regular direction. (If you know about skating you'll know what that means...lol) And, no, I don't have video...hah Lynnwood was a "rough & rowdy" rink during those times. You could skate session as fast as you wanted as long as you didn't knock down "civilians". So you speed weaving in and out was only determent by your ability to navigate the floor and how full it was that knight. Several of us also could keep up skating sideways in the "last fastest" race. Of coupe had to stay at back of the pack because of style differences. Skating sideways in pack with regular skating would have been a crash reel extravaganza.
