I used to watch this every Friday night back in 99. It was because of the show I discovered ECW. When I tuned in the following week when I first found out about this show, I got the time mixed up and Iturned on TNN and hour early and I saw ECW. that was my Friday night every week until roller jam got canceled
I remember watching ALL-WOMENS roller derby in the mid 80s it was always on after WWF wrestling. Trying to find the name of whatever this was called and clips.
Now this is the Rollerjam I remember, I used to love this show when I was a teenager and used to watch it all the time when it was on. As the others said the show became straight garbage in later seasons when they started resorting to more wrestling style kayfabe storylines. I still remember when they tore the wedding dress off Malibu Stacy Blitz or whatever they called her. My favorite team was the Florida Sundogs, I always thought it was funny how all the teams were based in the same arena with the Sundogs technically considered the home team. And used to hate the Quakes and Enforcers
I used to watch this because i think it came on before or after wrestling. I knew all the teams and all the skaters. Somehow i taught myself the rules and would watch it like a sport. I bet with the right amount of money put into it, i think this could still be on tv now.
i loved this back in the day. i remember watching my 1st and only ep cuz i didnt have cable and i was at my uncles place. so i recorded an ep. all i remember is some woman named blitz
It sure was, it's gotten ridiculous into the second season when evrybody especialy the women started using other attire than the usual uniforms. Old school Roller Derby was better.
this isn't the show I was looking for. Back when I was a kid I used to watch one of these shows that aired on weekends, but the show I watched had this small ramp they jumped and a water hazard on the other side of the ramp. If they didn't jump off the ramp far enough they'd land in the water. Anyone remember the name of that show?
That show didn't have a water hazard. The O P may just remembering it wrong. There was the wall you skated up leading to the ramp you jumped over but that's all. There was a pool of water in the middle which was supposed to be used if they brought out the alligator. Real stupid gimmick.
Yea I used to think it was real until I saw a flying clothes line off the barricade. After they I was like "heyyyyyyyyy wait a minute!" Even though I loved wrestling at the time, it was too over saturated for a great show.
Was really bummed out to find out that this show was fake. Got even worse when they started trying to make it more like wrestling, that's what made it obvious. Watched this show every week.
The California Quakes The Nevada Hot Dice The Texas Rustlers The Illinois Riot The New York Enforcers (personal favorite) The Florida Sun Dogs Memories.
RollerJam was awesome before they made it plainly obvious that they were doing pro wrestling-style storylines. A trade? Ok. Makes it seem like a legit sport. Long-lost half brothers?? Way too much. Smh. Again, love RollerJam (RollerDerby)
