Loved the read intro. Maybe I'm in the minority, but having that background makes the song that much more interesting. Would love you doing that on more songs. Love the history behind it.

I have their EP and it’s good! I’ve seen their livestream’s and they’re quite fun! The music is there! They will get better! Remember Korea is huge in kpop and there’s not many Rick bands out there! Great reaction David! I felt the same way in the beginning but gave them the benefit of the doubt!

NIce reaction - it's definitely a great song and they did it very well (so naturally it got a great score). The "technical" guitarist is Hyunjung and the "feel" guitarist is Iree. Hey, David! Great review! Sorry about intro being too long for you. You looked a little annoyed. I hope it didn't take away any enjoyment of the song. I should've cut it shorter. I just wanted to make clear to new people that there is history behind the song which is important to Korea which is why they chose the traditional Korean scenery for the video. Also since Rolling Quartz is so far the only Korean rock band you have reacted to, you and your audience are not aware of where Rock music is in that culture which should be be understood whenever delving into the Korean rock scene. South Korean Rock bands have always had a much higher hill to climb whenever they want to go hard with their sound. About the review, I wonder if you listen to the song again would the longer downtime at the first part of the song still bother you. I think it works because it really builds more anticipation after the taste that you get with the strong intro. Remember that the song and especially the words in the chorus have a strong history with Koreans. So Koreans listening are already expecting that chorus to hit so that they can sing the words to that famous poem. I'm sure them wanting to find a way to maximize the anticipation to that chorus was taken into consideration in the songwriting. You also made a similar note in the second half of the song when the chorus comes back after the exit out of the guitar solos and the accent hits. I never thought about it until listening to you here, but it does seem to mirror a bit the beginning of the song, doesn't it? It's more subtle in the second half but the energy doesn't exactly go where you expect it to after the accent hits. But then it does build up even more a little later to that very strong ending. That's gotta be on purpose cause that would be the second time it happens in the track. It's ending with Ja Young singing out the words to that famous poem so they probably wanted to save all that energy for the outro. Enjoyed hearing your thoughts! David, FEELIN' YOU!!! :-D

I was thinking this was a meh song after watching this reaction, but he's straight wrong, I can't get this song out my head. The intro is masterful, sincere and authentic to the original, which I leaned into after getting into the song and band. The later part of the song is powerful and the lead singer has the pipes.

Hey David off topic but a new Disturbed song called Hey You dropped last week and a new song from Alter Bridge called Pawns And Kings from the upcoming album of the same name. Both songs are awesome and have a message for today's world. Just wanted you to know so that maybe you could get a jump on some new music.
