I was 19 and I was there. First time I had ever seen the Stones play. And I thought "I better see them now because they're at least 40 now and I'll probably never get a chance again" !!!!! They're still rocking in their late bloody 70's!!

I remember hearing as a kid they were 40 and being amazed a rock band “that old” would still perform 😂(I’m 54 now) love the Stones!

Absolutely spot on.. I was there and also worked at the Marquee when Alexis Korner played with amongst others Charlie Bill and Ian.. I recorded the sound check and the way those two guys worked together was amazing

I remember listening to the Stone’s hits in my basement on a $5.99 radio bought at a local drug store. Lol. Len’s Pharmacy. Rockford, Illinois. Thanks Mick Jagger and Crew for everything.

1981 I was 18, Tattoo You came out. What a great yr to be a Stones fan. No-one ever will have the staying power of the Stones. Saw them live for first time 2015. Just being at the same place on the planet as the Stones was mesmerizing , and wow, what a show! I was blown away by their sound, youth and performance and, they’re all in their 70’s man, 70’s!!!

I was 16 and went down to London for this from Birkenhead near liverpool. The hard sell was this could be their last tour. When i think back how i went down for the weekend done a couple of days pub crawling and went to watch the stones. All at 16. Went to watch then again a few weeks later in leeds

Bill seemed more at ease and active on stage than he usually is. In 3:55 Bill realized that the band didn’t start well in music, Bill fit his bass at the right time and the band got organized

I was 15 years old and by myself. This was my first Stones gig. £10 plus 50p booking fee. Being shoved this way and that just a few rows from the stage, trying not to lose my footing and get crushed in the surging mass .The air thick with bud, fights breaking out left and right. Best day ever.

I was at this concert..never seen the film until now..I remember how loose they were as a band that day and even had to stop and restart one of the tracks..but it was a great atmosphere..and Ringo Starr was walking around with Peter Cook so we were celeb watching at the same time..just a great band and great characters..blimey nearly 40yrs ago

@@cliveedwards2958 My former landlord chauffeured Dudley Moore to a Stones concert in L.A. in the early 80s, and then to a post-concert party in the Hills!! At one point he went inside the home to use the washroom and he caught a glimpse of the celebs and Stones members surrounding his passenger! He did not realise how huge a beloved int’l star Moore was at the time!

Yeah - I went too, and wasn't that impressed. They didn't add any feeling to their songs, just worked through them really. Not their fault, but there was a low point when a bloke in front of me decided to strap up and inject something in his arm, clearing a very wary circle around him. I was quite mesmerised at the amount of jogging and jumping Jagger did throughout.

Wow! The boys in their home turf! There’s talk that the current 2021 No Filter tour (some fans are affectionately calling it the No Charlie tour) is the final one, and that a Dec or early 2022 series of several shows in London will be their real farewell, in the city the band calls its home. Bill Wyman would of course be invited to support the group musically for coupla of tracks. 🤞

Tried to play fast as hell in this Post-punk-era, and that`t what it ended up.... She`s so cold is such an easy song to play, and they totally screwed it up.... Thanks to Mick, he pulled it through!

That’s actually Ian Stewart. He was a co-founder of the Stones. Passed away in 1985.

I was at the concert - I remember the J Geils Band having their set interrupted by the BIBLICAL rain! And Black Uhuru also supporting. Everybody got drenched but we still had the time of our lives. Great memories.

Bill Wyman was indeed as vital as Charlie Watts was to the band’s sound but not once in twenty years did Mick say “Bills’s good tonight!” like he’d said Charlie was. There’s a good story here. Why did the band treat Wyman like shit for all those years? Bill is a good guys bright creative guy. What’s up?
