Very nice for the here and now, however if you're looking into the future 20 years you'll be looking for hydrogen, and Airbus already has publicly been showing off their hydrogen research stuff. So what will Rolls Royce be having in the hydrogen future?

Ultrafan products should be used on the 777-X to give customers more options

Won`t happen, GE have way too much investment in GE9X for the B777X. As good as UltraFan may turn out to be GE9X should be perfect for the big Boeing offering expected fuel gains which airlines like Singapore, Lufthansa, & Emirates will come to expect. I think offering UltraFan tech on the Trent 1000 for the B787 would be the way forward with the potential to increase that aircrafts life way into the future & do the same to T-XWB for the same reasons on A350 but both airframers will need to invest in that idea. I`d really like to see RR concentrate efforts on a narrowbody engine too, an area they have been missing from for far too long.
