Despite his size Roman is a really good blocker because of his effort, which is what helped him get on the field early at Michigan. I could see him getting reps at the Z in 2 WR sets of he goes to a team that runs the Shanahan outside zone scheme
Bruh if the first thing you say about a receiver is he's a a good blocker he's trash. Like saying that guy n may be short but he gives good screens. Tf Troy Franklin was sitting right there. 6'2 4.41 great route runner and vertical. 7'1 catch radius. And we pick the little guy who made 9 missed tackles in his career. Man please!!
That was a terrible pick and he's going to be unplayable in most sets. Troy Franklin was sitting right there. 4.41 speed. 6'2 14tds 1300 plus yards. Wtf man.
@@psychandson6337 T. Franklin doesn't catch as well as Wilson. Time will tell but I really like the pick. Great fit for what the Steelers do. Franklin is still on the board, so I think the NFL scouts know more than we do.
@danduran4981 bruv he had 81 receptions averaged 17.1 a catch and had nearly 1400 yards this year. He was top 5 in production amongst all receivers in the ncaa. He can gain weight Roman can't gain height ability and catch radius.
He is golden Tate. He’ll have season like a man ra st brown. He has a bigger catch radius than you give him credit for. He got enough skills he could be a first round pick. He’ll go in the second round but he has the skills to go first.
@@SIGtilliDIEDude stop it. I LOVE this pick for us but DJ was literally (statistically) the 2-3 best route runner in the NFL and he was our “get open” guy. Also “durrr 0 TD” whose fault is that? Because he had 107 receptions 1100 yards and 8 TD the year before with a crappy Ben..maybe it was our god awful QB play. DJ had ONE season where he struggled with drops but he’s a great WR and I do not get yall obsession with hating him.
Wow!! Are you guys talking about Roman Wilson...?? You're completely off about him. Juju is 6'1" and Wilson is 6'0"... so that's negligible. Juju is 215 (doubtful) and Roman is 192 (he's probably more). Even if he's 20 pounds heavier, Roman is way faster. I'm willing to bet Roman is closer to 200... His legs are big. Also, go watch his film. You can watch all of his 2023 catches and see many contested catches (some amazing), very nice in and out route breaks and plenty of broken tackles. I would venture that Roman is possibly the 4th best WR in this draft... If not 2 or 3.
You gotta be on drugs for this whole comment. Dude is trash and won't make it in the league. He can't get off press, he can't make anyone miss in the open field. His route running has to be unpolished because he ran a bunch of motion routes that allowed for free releases. A slot receiver will never ever be considered the best receiver. Cupp wasn't even after that big season because real football folks know if he was put in the x or y he'd never do anything close to t those numbers
Roman's a little devil. He likes to get into it a bit with defenders. I remember when he wouldn't let a defender get up and tugged at his ankle, pulling his shoe of I think. The defender fought back and got the penalty. Sneaky Roman got away with that one! I commented at the time he was like Heinz Ward, looking for contact. He enjoys it.
This isn't going to age well for you. You're stuck on catch radius and route running, that just does not show up on his tape. He's super twitchy and catches everything. Cmon man do better.
