We had to say goodbye to our Sarah (our miniature long haired Dachshund. She was 17 years old. My daughter Nicole gave her to me for Mother’s Day 2001, My Nicole was killed in a. Car accident just 2 weeks after she turned 22. Today Nicole would have been 37. I miss them both so much. I am still looking and praying for another Baby Dachshund.

Aww your reddish brown one looks just like my baby. Honestly it made me tear up a bit 😢. He recently passed away early this May due to cancer. He was 16 years old. I’m thankful me and my family had him for as long as we did. I still miss him every single day and I will always love him endlessly. He brought us so much joy. ❤️❤️❤️
Dachshunds very unique and different from any other breeds. I have two Dachs, one of em being my best friend for past 12 years and I rescued the other one two weeks ago. About 10 months old little devilish puppy but an angel to me. How can anyone abandon a puppy with full of positive energy? Very disgraceful to the mankind.. Dachshunds or no dachshunds, no dogs should be treated badly.
Jin Kang My parents blessed me with my very first dog, a Dachshund (3yrs old) when I was just 8 yrs old. I loved my Suzie and she was my best friend for many years. I’m now 57 and still have a Dachshund!! Dudley Earl Smirl is 8yrs and my 1st long haired Dachshund. Dachshunds are truly a wonderful pet. Dudley makes my life a much better life and yes, we spoil him with hugs, kisses & playing with him, but we also take special care of any treats & food we give him. Until you have a Dachshund you just don’t know what you are missing. 🐾❤️
I’m almost 58 and got my first Dachshund at 7 yr old and I have been in love with this amazingly beautiful, smart, sassy, loving and loyal breed ever since. I’m thankful for all the Dachshunds who have blessed my life with unconditional love and loyalty.

Oh my goodness! So very sweet and cute. I lost my mini smooth hair of 16 years only 4 weeks ago and miss him so much. I live all dogs but I'm just not sure I can do without a doxie. Thanks for sharing.
I totally understand, Doxies are a one of a kind breed! I'M SO SORRY you lost your baby recently, I lost my mini blk & ran smooth hair at 16years 4 years ago and I still cry sometimes. It just hurts, I miss her so much. I still have Jasmine, red smooth hair and she's 17, you can ONLY imagine my fear. I don't want to lose her!
Aww what gorgeous babies. Have 3 mini Doxies here, they are my 3rd, 4th and 5th...will have Doxies til I can no longer take care of them. They're the best, most expressive loving pups around!!!
I think mini longhair dachshunds are unreasonably cute. I had two just like this; a black&tan plus a reddish. They were never trained, but the black&tan one was naturally attuned to me and such a well behaved angel.

I had a mineture long hair dashhound dad was sir Charles five time championship and mine name was Molly mollykins little my baby girl she was my everything an made my wife smlie everyday but she died three years ago and her dad was killed by coyotes and never met mom's Molly could not compet cause she had one extra tit she was my therapist mood stabilizer and all my kids died my ragamuffin daughter Delilah Antoinette, ty ty Tyson my son, storm stormakins son , Molly Mollykins my daughter, red blaze my son, they where my life remind me to kids have two dogs two cat and they Chinese fighting fishI would love to have a miniature dashound long-haired black and brown I'm disabled. Don't have that kind of money my friend gave me them an they took 75 miniature dashound babies they put him in the back of the truck and drove to Alabama and they all passed away I can no longer get me another 1

They're beautiful! I have an almost 13 year old miniature red dachshund and she's very gray so we kind of want to get a puppy before she dies, i'm afraid of feeling like we would be replacing her. She's been in my life since I was 5 years old and I love my TomTom so much.
WELL DONE! Frankly, up to this point I would have stated a Doxie CAN NOT BE trained. Now I know its ME who cannot train a Doxie. Believe me, I have had several ...and failed miserably.
A pet being loved and properly cared for is the most important thing in my book. Of course we would like them to behave at times but as for me I don't care if dogs are just having fun, and I am fine if they jump on me or talk to me (barking since that is how they talk). I think any real dog lover isn't going to mind and if they aren't that then we probably wouldn't get along as well anyways 😁
@@JustMe-ec2ph I might get annoyed a bit when she goes full assault at the mail man but I know in her mind she's just doing her job, and she still kisses me on the nose and snuggles up to me or mama at the end of the day so I can live with a little barking. Especially when it's from such a cute dog.
30 years I have had Daxies as hunting partners. Hundreds of nights sleeping at campfire and thousands of kilometers of forest pahts they are best of companions. Stubborn, brave, effective and loyal.
Many happy childhood memories with these dogs, they only five and ten when they died. Fritzi and mitizy never forget you, hope to own my own dog one day
I used to have three once upon a time The original two were my best. I too in an older third from SPCA. Found out later that I was the fifth owner. He was more than a hand full but did not have the heart to return and reject him so he stayed but life was fun there after.
Some things are more important than expecting a dog to act perfect all the time! Such as feeding them healthy foods. After my dog got really sick eating a hot dog my vet said to never feed her hot dogs again (or certain other foods) and I never did again. Hope they get some play time, too!
Love dachshunds..had them all my life..as i have osteoarthritis i cannot walk them so it would be unfair to have another dawg.. but i miss having one..i have 4 cats though so have fur babies still..
Im sure it took a lot of time and work to get them that good. I love my two wieners but I would probably never be able to get them to this point. I dont have the kind of time it would take.

I had 3 dogs behavior so well i did not train them intentionally but bcuz i lead them listen just when i speak no one else ..they behave like that when 3 of them go to vet office. I sure missed them.so much .
