@@angelusvastator1297 The shooting of the family was excessive, but Nicholas managed Russia and her war effort so badly that he simply had to go. Unfortunatel,y Russia was completely unaware of the concept of "peaceful transition of power".
I wouldn’t call it ‘cold blood.’ Nicolas himself deserved it. His family were killed so that they would not be recognised by foreign governments as leaders, which would destroy everything the people fought for.
@@mysteriousmuffin6017 I don't think Nicholas deserved it. As bad as he was on being an Emperor, he still didn't deserved to be killed like that. Exile him was enough. Nicky did bad choices alot, but he did good things too. He pray for his enemies, gave some money for the poors, visit wounded soldiers, let his daughters built a committee, let his daughters play/visit the orphanage and even forgave LENIN when Lenin's brother made an attempt on murdering Tsar Alexander III. If Nicky didn't disagree on the idea of executing Lenin that day, Lenin would've died that very same day instead of being exile
Russia was the only country to come to the aid of Lincoln during the civil war. The Tsar stationed two battleships off the east coast to await Lincoln's call for assistance.
@@zach4007 You're right. I didn't know that either. It would be good to set up school partnerships and to send more young Americans to Russia and more young Russians to the States. Young people have no prejudices and can share friendship and contribute to a better world.
@@claudekonqui7294 This is impossible, because The US is hegemonic and will not allow "friendship" with potential competitors. +Gregory Walker Levitsky He was a fucking despot. Alexander II ftw. And the last tsar, which wasn't Nicholas but Mikhail ( i think his brother, who was a constitutional monarchist and liked to be with the common people more than with her family) was even better. He was proclaimed as Tsar and reigned but not coronated. And he wanted the people to decide if they wanted a democratic republic or a parliamentary monarchy. Had him imposed the last one. Today it would be so much different.
+voëlvrypolitics93 Not a despot, but an autocrat; learn the difference. Michael *was* Nicholas II's brother, but he was never Tsar; he was next in line, but never even claimed the crown and died before Nicholas in 1918. But Alexander was awesome; he was rightly called the Tsar-Peacemaker and Russia flourished under him. Democracy does not always equal progress and prosperity.
Gregory Walker Levitsky He was proclaimed but not coronated, there is even a coronation proclamation. Therefore, as not being coronated, he did never reign. Which one? Alexander II was nicknamed the liberator.
+voëlvrypolitics93 I'm not sure what you mean by a "coronation proclamation." The proper form of the verb, by the way, is "crowned," not "coronated," which is not a word. Historians can debate the point, but there are two very important things to consider: 1) Michael never accepted the crown. He never signed a single document as "Michael II," never swore any oath, and within an entirely reasonable amount of time abdicated all authority to the Provisional Government. If he was de jure Emperor, perhaps, but it really makes no sense to call him "the last Emperor," since he never reigned and never intended to, and was killed before his royal brother. 2) Tsar Nicholas II's first abdication was in favor of Alexis (now, theoretically, Alexis II), but he later reconsidered and wrote a new abdication in favor of Michael. Having already abdicated, did he have the right to disinherit Alexis? I would think not. And so, despite most people looking to Michael, the true heir may have been Alexis all along, who outlived his uncle Michael until July 17, the right to the throne thus bypassing Michael entirely to Nicholas II's cousin Cyril. Alexander III was called the Tsar-Peacemaker, because he refused to play in Europe's games of war, and did not involve Russia in any wars. He was Russia's greatest monarch.

Travis Gilbert The overhwhelming majority of the Russian Revolution and attempted Bavarian Revolution were Jews. Marx had Jewish ancestry. Jews helped support Mao's ideology and training to bring up the PRC in China. This is all easily searchable on Wikipedia.
And Stalin said the same thing in his great purges, claiming a good communist government is a Jewish free communist government. Hell, he hated trotsky! You must love Stalin.
Using Wikipedia as a source and claiming that vast majorities of anything are in your favour of an argument, I do believe you shouldn't be pointing out fallacies. And besides, it is a fallacy to assume a fallacy debunks a point. You must of loved Stalin.
Very nice song ! Long live the Tsar ! From a French Royalist, we like you in Russia, also lose our rightful Monarch. My sympathy to the great nation that is Russia and its people.
But the French revolution was a good thing it never killed millions of people and was nowhere near as bloody as the Russian revolution long live the Tsar!!
Nikita Kuznetsov It killed around 800,000 people ( for the population of the time, it's quite big for a so called people-revolution ), most of them being royalists or suspected royalists. They executed innocent members of the Royal family ( I mean the children , come on ... ). The revolution turned into the terror and lead to more than a century of civil troubles ( an empire, a Restoration, a second republic, a second Restoration, a second empire,.... ). The Republic was born in blood and lies, it never recognized having tried to make a genocide in the Vendée region where the people fought for their King. They cheated in order to execute the King and Queen in a mocked trial, refused the Queen a last confession and priest. And a Republic, by definition, is the wort and most corrupt form of government possible. The day they cut off Louis XVI's head, they also cut off France's head, my country has never been so low that it is under the republic system.
OakhheartIX I agree but wasn't the revolution absolutely necessary? I mean people were starving and there was not enough food for everyone ( well that Is what they taught me at school ) I am not disagreeing with you I am just pointing out some facts.
Nikita Kuznetsov Not it was not necessary. However I absolutely agree with you , something had to be done. France was broke financially because of wars, the previous year's harvests were a disaster. Something indeed had to be done. One of the thing would have been to help Louis XVI in his reforms ( way before the revolution ) however the nobility and clergy were against any of them of course. Even after the start of the revolution, the King was not completely hostile to the ideas of the revolution, at least not on the reform ideas and the need to have a more " human " government ( which the 1st Rep failed to be ). Louis XVi was a good man and a decent human being ( but a poor King though ). After the revolution, the people was still starving, no more nor less than before. Only during Napoléon the people was " better fed ", but even so ... Some people and some historians claim that would Louis XVi's father had not died before Louis XV ( Louis XVI was Louis XV's grandson ), the revolution might have never happened or be delayed ( but that's " ifs '" :D ). One of the worst fault of the Monarchy during the revolution was to be an Absolute Monarchy without Absolute Kings ( only in names Louis XV and Louis XVI were absolute monarch ). Should Louis XVI has not be such a poor King in terms of authority, it is not impossible that he would have acted differently. He lacked authority against the noble and clergy that always put a spoke in his wheel. So I agree with you, something had to be done, no doubt about that, but a revolution ? To put a republic ( one of the worse form of government, corrupted and falsely saying being for the people ? ) instead of a Monarchy ? No.
OakhheartIX I agree with you, I believe in a constitutional monarchy not an absolute monarchy though. Just look at: Ivan the terrible, Nero etc.. Before the Russian revolution Russia was a constitutional monarchy and even though it was not perfect it was 100 times better then the soviet union. People were not accused of being: "enemies of the state" the Tsar never killed millions of people like Stalin ( although some say that is western propaganda) there was no NKVD. my only problem with Monarchy is that it is a system based on inequality, other than that I love it and it has been proven to be successful.

Przepiękne. Dear Russian brothers, Poland should help you in 1920, even if Denikin didn't wanted to agree for our borders from 1972 (in the end, however, he would not have much choice). There were plenty of polish officers wanted to go further, across the Dnepr, and we had a military power to do this. Unfortunatelly, the most likely reason for holding up our offensive is that marshall Piłsudski, and a lot of Polish society had terrible experiences from the Tsar times, which were 123 years of terror. However, the past politic line of the Tsarist Russia doesn't make all idea of russian monarchy bad. My opinion, as I am a royalist, is that Tsar have to come back with an alliance with polish king, and destroy all this dirty stuff that communism has left in our two countries with such a similar story of pain and captivity. God save the Tsar! Boże, Caria Chrani! Monarchista Rzeczpospolitej
Socialists wouldn't accept monarchy in Poland, so one and only hope was Russian Empire winning 1ww and uniting Poles in one state. Poles would have much power in Empire and they would be able to restore Kingdom of Poland and gain autonomy. However, Poles had no impact on revolution breaking out.

When I listen to this, it reminds me watching “The Last Czars” on Netflix. On my opinion, the Romanovs were good people, and they just wanted to keep Monarchism alive, but the choices Czar Nicholas had made were not the right ones, and were against his true better judgement. He counted on faith, which was good, but should have also taken action over his people. He let Rasputin rule over him and his instincts, and his own wife just to make “good” decisions. Communism was at first a good idea and was successful, but it always fails at one point. If the Romanovs and Czar Nicholas made better choices for the benefit of Russia, maybe, just maybe, Russia would not have been this crazy as it is today. It is sad as well of course, when the Imperial Family was killed by the Bolsheviks, including the Czars and his wife’s own children. I hope they Rest In Peace.
