Being poor in spirit means that the wages of sin is death .when you learn your spirit is dead to your sins. Then Blessed are they who mourn for they shall be comforted. When you mourn over your own death. You shall be comforted. Come all you heavily laden and I will give you rest.
Food and drink is referring to the daily sacrifice of the covenant in the Holy Eucharist and fruit of the vine. Luke 22 is Jesus's WAY and TRUTH in receiving His LIFE. I have eagerly desired to eat of this meal with you, for I shall not eat of the bread until the kingdom of God is fulfilled. Also I shall not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God is fulfilled. The desent of the Holy Spirit is the fulfillment of Jesus's Father's Kingdom. Sending the Advocate in Jesus's name to each of us to our temple of the holy spirit our bodies. I'm am the bride and brides get pregnant. Being Born from above. Adoption into God's kingdom, finding the child Jesus in the temple. The temple of the holy spirit our bodies. We are no longer brides but the mother of Jesus. As good mothers we fulfill Jesus's words in I shall not eat of the bread until the kingdom of God is fulfilled. Also I shall not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God is fulfilled. Pentecost is the fulfillment of Jesus's Father's Kingdom.
Wonderful Sermon!! Thank you so much, Dr. Lawson!! Sorry, but a "jawning young man" should not be on camera or he should sit not right beside Dr. Lawson. I think jawning and not covering the mouth with the hand is disrespectful concerning the great efforts and the energy Dr. Lawson is investing in this sermon.
