What a blessing it is to hear Dr. Lawson preach and teach. Oh how much we need men preach this way. We need to pray the Lord lay hold of men like him and bring back preachers who stand for what truly matters, as Paul did -chasing after Christ’s likeness.

Thank you for this teaching. I was driving to work this morning and I was praying for a teaching that would help me pursue and push forward. Instantly, Steve Lawsons name showed up on my you--tube. My progress in the race is stagnant aka plateaued! I definitely needed to hear this and I thank God for men of God with such sound teaching. God bless!

I am battling suicidal thoughts and taunts that the Lord God is unable to answer my prayers. It's my forth year of salvation and inasmuch as I have grown in my knowledge of Christ Jesus I am struggling to transfer this knowledge into life. My personal life has been progressively turning from good to bad ever since I entered into eternal life through His blood. Now I am battered and shredded and honestly struggling to hold on to my testimony. I want out. I'm praying for death that I may be spared the reality of me getting to that point where I give up on God. The heat is too much ! I am 38 , single , waiting on the Lord for a spouse to no avail , childless I must add , greatly in debt , struggling in my career , with no proper social christian network and this 'isolation' just has me begging for death. It's all weary and the Lord's seeming silence is challenging.

If it's a gift, why do we "obtain" a "prize"? "The Gift" is the Holy Ghost, (the Word, the Spirit is the truth) which we hold onto "keep it" until the end. It would have not been possible apart from Christ's blood being shed for us to participate. (See John 12:31-33 & John 7:37-39.. also parts of John 14 "Comforter") Hebrews 10:36-39 (KJV) 36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. 37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. 38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if [any man] draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. 39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. 2 John 1:2 (KJV) For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever. The prize is no longer having our vile body.. see 1 Peter 1:4,13; 1 John 3:2, Philippians 3:20-21 & Romans 8:18-25.

The Dangers of King James: CAN'T IGNORE THIS!!! Here we go! If we are dedicated to going by Scripture, which translation are we going to prefer? The ONLY translation that contains the word Easter instead of Passover is the King James. You may ask, "What is the error?" Do you want your children to grow up worshiping a pagan fertility goddess, or the only true God who caused the angel of death to pass over the houses of the people Israel who had put blood on the doorposts and lintel? Our culture is more interested in eggs and bunnies than on the true meaning. What other Christian celebrations have been hijacked for secular purposes?

Calvinism is very wicked, doctrines of Devils. 1 Peter 1:22-23 (KJV) 22 Seeing *ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit* unto unfeigned love of the brethren, [see that ye] love one another with a pure heart fervently: 23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. I love you enough to tell you the truth. We must make the choice to believe and obey. Free will is very much from God.
