Hot chocolate were a unique band. In an age of afros, the lead singer was sporting a bald head. Secondly, they were a multiracial band when such bands were few and far in between. They had great catchy singles and a mainstream sound.

Erroll Brown lead singer born in Jamaica and moved to Britain. Had wife and kids and conservative. He ran for a political position in Britain under the Conservative Party. Considered very polite and well mannered according to those that knew him or came in contact with him.

Errol Brown wasn't gay. He died from cancer in 2015. He had a wife and two daughters. He was originally from Jamaica and moved to the UK when he was 12.

You should really react to Hot Chocolate performing the original version of Brother Louie, compared to Midnight Special Stories version. The singer of Hot Chocolate, Errol Brown co-wrote this song. There are some extra things in it that will make you think, and for the 70's in England it was very reactionary.

disco was a German Music Television Show. I grew with it in the 70s and 80s. Try "Emma" from Hot Chocolate. They show the Adress of the management. You could write a letter with a back envelope and you get an autograph card.

"Everyone's a winner" is a midway, fair-ground come-on. The barker at the game of chance says it to entice people to play. In this song it's just meant as a seductive reassurance to a prospective partner; it's not really meant to apply to everyone. IMHO. By the way, there's an excellent cover version by Bootsauce, out of Montreal.
