This video shows the evolution of Rome Metro from 1916 to 2035 and beyond.
Compared to other large cities in Europe, such as London, Paris and Berlin, the scale of Rome's metro system is significantly less extensive. Even Milan, the second largest city in Italy has a more extensive metro system compared to Rome. This is because that there are lots of ancient relics buried under the city of Rome, which slowed down the development of Rome Metro.

1. the paths and positions of stations are not 100% accurate,
2. some of the future projections shown are not confirmed,
3. the Chinese translations of the station names are not official, you could raise them in the comments if they are wrong or if there are better translations.
