Ayhan Özgür this was for a group project I did for a Masters Degree in Training and Development. We took a process and broke it down into its individual parts to generate a training guide. This is the recording we used to take snap shots and video clips from.
If you would have aligned your part up first and set your datums from the print then all of your features would have come it just fine. You should have used Auto Align First and then established your Datums, A, B AND C and then all of your features would have come in to your print specifications. That is the way.
I use the Hexagon PC DMIS 2015 CMM. and it's wonderful. I think this Romer Arm it sucks because it's labor intensive; and have no DCC (meaning it does not move by it self). You cannot program jobs and make it run by it self. moreover. I have programmed over a thousand jobs on the PC DMIS. Your video is well filmed but you need more experience with this software respectfully sir.
Hi Clay, thanks for your comment. This video was the first I had ever done and was for a course on instructional design. We were recording and taking pictures for an e-learning module, so my expertise in the material it self was and is very lacking.. My current profession is as a retirement consultant and not an even closely related field lol.
The machine shop I work at has this PCMM and software. The shop was bought by new owners and have asked me to make use of this tool. It's been siting in its box since 2017 and I'm the first to offer to try to use it. Would you be willing to be a resource for me when I run into walls learning how to use it? I have only been an operator on CMMs so this is a new experience. I agree it is very labor intensive having to use the probe yourself.
