The most brilliant part is when Ranganathan says 'If you went into an Indian restaurant and the waiter was white and, just for authenticity, ...' That pause letting the audience do the joke in their head is magic. The punch line just reinforces it.

I'm half French and half Indian and I love this guy's work so much! Just found out about him but it already speaks so much to me. So I'm mixed race, but more white than "brown", still a bit Indian looking, and I have an Indian name. Everytime I tell my name to white people, they ask me "is this your real name or do you just want to be called this?" because they have no idea that I'm actually half Indian. 🤦‍♂️ They assume I must have a French name because I don't have the dark skin they expect me to have, how lost and confused they look when I tell them that my family on my mother's side are of Tamil origin. So it's the opposite of what Romesh is telling, but still the same racism behind it.

proud android user! but i also trash on samsung/LG/moto and all those other branded ones with junk in em. god tier android people run straight google devices, nothing on em but the bare minimum. fast af, tough as nails, good storage, bright and fast screens, fast charging, all that good stuff. and excellent cameras.
