What people don't seem to understand if your QB turns the ball over many times but the defense keeps the scoring to a minimum, the only thing that matters are those 4th qtr clutch minutes, if your QB can deliver then, you got a player.
@fortynights1513
@fortynights1513 9 месяцев назад
You’ve got a solid player. Finishing a game winning drive is important. But the fact remains, if the quarterback finished some of those drives earlier in the game where the turnovers occurred, then your team could have won even more convincingly, and maybe taken some pressure off the other side of the team.
@txbaca4861
@txbaca4861 9 месяцев назад
@@fortynights1513It's a team game, the QB isn't always going to have a pretty game but, what matters is when it's crunch does that guy out everything that happened before in the past and come through...you know like not running the clock out on your own team in year 7 as a starter.

Little known fact - Tony Romo has one of the highest all time records of win percentage when he started. Another little known fact, Romo has one of the highest comeback records of all time, alongside Elway, Manning and Montana. But most loudly recited fact: calling him a choker. Ummm, no. That's the penis envy talkers.
@fortynights1513
@fortynights1513 9 месяцев назад
It’s probably a situation where the times he messed up are more memorable to people than the times he succeeded. But if you look back at his career in its entirety, you’ll see that Romo was a pretty darn good player. If a quarterback had his career for a less successful franchise, he’d probably be considered a good player in a team with a middling history to it.

Let's add some balance here: "Romo was one of the most underrated quarterbacks in NFL history" -How are you underrated when you have: no hardware, never led the league in ANY counting stat, and have a 6 turnover game like this and "win"? "Romo CARRIED that pathetic team FOR YEARS!" - LMAO! 60 Pro Bowlers, 12 All-Pros, 2 HOFers, 1 Future HOFer, and 2 All-Decade Team members played behind him in just 10 years. "... he will be a first ballot HOFer." - He has been eligible for 2 years and has yet to make it to the SEMI-FINALS. "Romo was the best QB the Cowboys have ever had" - He was about 6th- Aikman, Staubach, White, Morton, and Meredith were better. "Romo..was clutch.."- a 2-7 record in elimination games with 12 TDs to 12 TOs (not including his fumble in that Seattle PO game) and was responsible for the 2 biggest blown leads in "boys history. Get a grip Dallas stans; he wasn't that good. Replies from "Boys homers will be ignored.

"Romo Magic at its Finest!" Sure - a 2 TD to SIX TURNOVER game and he's "magical". Talk about hyperbole - geez. "Boys Nation wants to see him as the GOAT, not the perennial injured/choker that he was. In his 4 Pro Bowl/Playoff seasons he had 33 Pro Bowlers and 9 All-Pros playing behind him with Hofers (Witten, Owens) and yet he was MIA in half of his PO games. When he wasn't on loaded teams, he did nothing except get injured and choke away the season (including the 2 biggest blown leads in 'Boys history). He has now been eligible for the HOF for 3 years and has not made it to the semi-finales. That ought to tell you something. "Boys stans - replies will be ignored.

If you watch that onsides kick carefully, the kicker is actually offsides.

I'm a cowboy fan and Romo was one hell of a QB? Even with the o-line he had no protection! This came the interceptions? And still found a way to win? Imagine if he had the o- line the cowboys have today? 2maybe3 rings? Minimum!😮😮😂

I think his single greatest play was spinning out of the grasp of J.J. Watt and finishing the play with a T.D. pass. And I say that as a huge fan of J.J. Watt. Romo almost made it look easy on that play.

Watched this game at Buffalo wild wings sports bar with coworkers. At the end of game the whole place went nuts as I jumped up and down hugging people I didnt know and lost my house and car keys and never found them. A coworker took me home and had to have many keys remade as was out $200 or so- oh well -- ha-- great game.

I remember watching this game and going wild. Tony Romo was a way better quarterback, then everyone gives them credit for it because of the playoff record which I was also at that game with the gun brain no catch, but the throw five interceptions and turn over the ball as many times as they did, the way they did most quarterbacks have done it

Romo was the reason they always had to comeback. Dude had 5 interceptions and a fumble. Romo gave me all of my grey hair.

@@edgardiaz690 yeah no lol. Couldn’t win shit. Had the most picks. Romo was mostly the reason why he had to comeback and win games. Maybe you don’t remember watching him play but I most definitely do lol. He was a turnover machine!!!

What I’ve been saying about todays game, if players catch with their hands instead of chest, more catches will be made in NFL. Use your hands. Man handle ball
