@TreadandTrail just curious I'm from up around the APALACHICOLA NATIONAL FORREST AREA HERE just outside of Tallahassee, where are you guys riding at down there?????
sick rig and video but a friendly reminder, invest small amount of money for tow strip , dont ever use your winch to tow it can damage the winch overtime or worst it might even snap and shit start flying
That trail looks very similar to a lot of the trails we have over here on the east coast of Australia, especially here in Queensland. Only difference is Jeeps aren't as popular here.
I tried to get my wife to move to Australia, but she shot me down. Lol You may not see as many Jeeps, but you get to have the diesel Hilux. I'm not sure which I like better. Love to watch Australian wheeling videos. Thanks for watching!
@@TreadandTrail I got a 95 YJ and damn I love it i just got a new top on it and Im thinking about putting a lift on it i just cant decide wether or not i should do a body lift or a suspension lift whats your thoughts?
Slowly getting my 98 Durango set up. Sad side is not a lot of aftermarket support so I'll have to look hard and make what I can. If I want it. I live in weirsdale fl and work in Ocala so I need to start finding the local trails.
Watching the black Rubicon, remembering how often my 2003 Rubicon got hung up on that darn skid plate. A nice flat plate does wonders for the tj, and isn't a complex modification. Do it, and enjoy. High centering a Rubicon is the worst feeling ever.
I used to live in Tampa and road the Management areas, also wheeled Hard Rock. Moved to NW Alabama in 2016 and found some amazing wheel'n in the area. Holler if y'all ever come up to Stony Lonesome OHV or Hawk Pride Mountain Offroad.
It looks like I need to check Citrus out next weekend! I just went to withlacoochee WMA for the first time with my rig last weekend, really missed having the dirt bike
Nice video! Lots of fun! I have a 04 rubicon on 35s and a 95 yj with a Ford 9” and d44. SOA running 38.5. I wish we had trails like that where I live. WV here
@@Dmowery5036 you ever check out sanderson around Charleston? I'm in wood county. Hatfield mccoy have two sections for jeeps. Anything from easy to tell my wife I love her. Lol. The trails on the video are definitely awesome though.
Definitely something wrong with that blue rubicon 🤔.. seems to have too much of a hard time going through obstacles that it would be supposed to go through easily.. maybe try changing the driver ? 🤷♂️… (took part in the sassing 😂) nice run you guys 😂👍👍
Thanks for the comments and thanks for watching!! I am Begging to get onto some of those Colorado trails and out to Moab and beyond (Hopefully next year) but I enjoy the trailriding and offroading here in Florida too. I believe every place is unique and we should want to experience them all!
Tread & Trail if you ever do, hit me up! Colorado is a lot of fun, but it’s more pucker factor and beautiful scenery than outright technical challenge (altho we do have that too). I’ll continue to make Colorado Jeep trail videos in the future, but I really want to show off everything Colorado offers!
Where are you located, I'm near Ocala FL. Me and my buddy are going trail riding in Ocala national Forest this coming week. Wanna come? I'm bringing my 96 xj and he is bringing his 98 xj😎
O snap 🙄. What's it doing?(or lack of doing lol)?. But I've been trying to go more and more (every week/every other week). but I know the feeling I just got my 96 xj fixed...then my 86 xj decided it wasn't going to work lol 🤣
My first manual was a TJ. I had my fair share of sport cars and want to jump back into a jeep. I'm looking into a JLU. Of course I would love a Rubicon but I honestly think it's a bit much and I won't use it to its full potential. That and the price. I'm thinking about jumping into a Sahara. What do you think? I want to off road but not so much rock crawl. I also prefer the 6 speed over the 8spd auto even though my buddies are trying to sway me into auto. I'm over in Clermont.
Firstly, I say get what makes you feel comfortable. I drive a standard as that's what I like but would prefer an auto for offroading as there is more consistent application of throttle. I wouldn't worry about the Rubicon at this point as MOST of your wheeling in FLA won't require it (especially for the trailriding and offroading your looking for). Get what you can get and enjoy it, you can always add a set of lockers or upgrades later. Look us up when you get it and we can get you out on some of our rides.
rob winn can they manufacture the engine compartment so the water won’t flood the engine imagine being chased by zombie and you need to drive into a swamp just to get away from them
Some people might hate it, but I drive a 2wd jku. Even thought it’s 2wd, I’ve still heavily upgraded it. I’m on 37s, a five inch lift, RC shocks, and rear lockers to name a few things. I can’t go everywhere the 4X4’s can, but I easily keep up in mud and flat or downhill technical trails. I still get compliments from other jeepers too 😂
You wheel with what you got. At least it's a Jeep and not a Samurai, lol... Although there are some sick Samurais out there too. Just go get it dirty and let the complainers cry from the couch! 😆😆😆
JL's Jk nope, I just got it that way. It was my first vehicle so I want the one to purchase it. I didn’t want to sell it so I just made the most of what I had
Tread & Trail hey now samurais are really fun I had one and absolutely loved it. So small you can fit anywhere. In a 1990 Toyota now. Love it even more.
Funny part is a basic untold rule is always broken. When going thru long or deep looking puddles _ never stay center. When that exact spot is dry you can drive straight thru by staying hard left.
Poor guy at 7:06 just couldn't get over that root. We're from the Panhandle and want to come down for a weekend during the spring or summer. How often do you guys hit this area?
We can be found at any one of several off road areas on Saturday or Sunday (depends on who's available). If you wanted to get together, just let us know ahead of time and we can arrange a ride with you. Thanks for watching!!
I have not personally but I am certain others of the group have been. I'll pass the name around at the next dinner to see who's been. Thanks for watching!
That looks like you guys had a great day! People ought to think before they post and realize how ridiculous they sound with the negativity. There is a way to make a constructive comment and also a way to look like a total dick wrinkle.
@@americanpatriot8996 most people will say not to pull in reverse. The ring and pinion in reverse is really weak. Idk why. But...that's what the majority say.
Bwahahahaha.......go north if you want to do 4 wheeling...florida sucks for off roading...biggest joy theyfind is a swamp area 2 feet off water and play like it's the thing...sht tires on them. Good for street and flat land...like Florida
