The edited version of Chicago songs were all I knew as a young kid listening to AM radio. I didn't hear the long versions until many years later. "Beginnings" was especially creative and worked to finally get the song in the top 10. I still prefer to listen to that edited version as it is part of my childhood.

So interesting, Rock and Roll hit it's pinnacle in the early to mid 1970's...the creativity and inventiveness and most of all, heart.

The first live concert I ever saw was Chicago at KC Royals Stadium ...It would of been May 11, 1974...I sat on the infield close to the stage back when you could bring a blanket and soft drinks into the stadium...Never forget it. Saw them July 1, 1982... Terry was gone and they closed with an instrumental version of 25 or 6 to 4... What a band...

Thanks Joe- I spent some time talking with Pete Cetera and heard some great stories about the early days of the group. Keep up the stellar work!

Chicago Transit Authority….that’s what I knew them as. Seeing them in California in the 60s you knew the band was going to leave big footprints. An incredible group of talent. These two are like brothers now with a history going back decades.

1969-1970. Members of Chicago came to our house in Warrington Pa. My husband was a drummer in his own band and jammed with Danny up in the loft of the barn.

Hi joe I got back home from Vietnam May 2 1971 and on May 4 my buddy was working as a stage hand for the city of Omaha let me in to show of Chicago got to talk to most of the guys the fact that I'm polish I was talking to Peter about great bars & polish food Omaha and Chicago the one thing I remember today is that back then they all were wearing tee shirts & Levis before the silk shirts and leather pants. And I asked if would play the new song called Lowdown and when they did Terry looked over at me and nodded. sooo cool will never ever forget.. thanks Joe.

Blue… that is a great story… especially for me as Chicago was the band I most wanted to be like. I loved playing Lowdown with our band. Terry was … along with Hendrix… my most favorite guitarist. C,S, N & Y were a close second. My band played a lot of Chicago songs as we had a horn section doing Stax and Motown before Chicago hit the big times. God bless you for your service in Nam. You guys were of the greatest generation too in my eyes. Merry Christmas… Sincerely, Joe

Two minutes and seventy four seconds. Good thing it didn't get to three minutes or it wouldn't have gotten air time. Always give the boss what he wants.

Chicago lost their way completely when Terry died and Danny was ousted. The current band is a pale imitation. Walfredo Reyes Jr should have stayed playing percussion. He can’t cover Danny’s parts faithfully . Tris Imboden could and tried to be faithful to Danny’s parts.
