The only thing I would disagree with is the point you made about a cow getting by you. When you're working a thousand head of wild cattle, one gets by you and the rest of them learn your weakness.

All due respect to Dr. Graham/Gandin? (guessing from the garbled captioning) please get your own video, you've nearly ruined this one with garbled low audio. I know you didn't intend such, but it's terrible on my ears and focus/concentration. Made it 20 mins.. An awesome video editor could translate the garble to captions and then we'd all know what was going on in her part of the conversation.

You are right about the captions being wrong and I too had just one spot I couldn't make out but having watched many prior videos of Dr. Grandin, I only had to rewind a couple spots to hear it again to understand the important aspects she is pointing out. Dr. Grandin is a BRILLIANT woman!! When you understand who she is & the hurdles she has had to overcome, like being born with autism(didn't talk till 4yrs old) then, at the time; she was the ONLY woman in the beef cattle industry trying to make a difference for the betterment of the cattle!! Of course, it was hard for men (especially cowboy men I'd assume) to believe that some 'dizzy' woman knew better than them how to treat the animals with dignity & respect & most of all from their point of view (the cows!) Please do some research on Dr. Temple Grandin and deal with the garbled audio in a better way, I have no doubt Ron Gill learned much if not all he knows about handling cattle from this very woman!

@@jamolly3447 Yes indeed she is good and talented and a teacher. But the her audio was super difficult here while the other speaker had perfect audio as I recall. Audio is important when conveying information. I found other videos of handlers using same/similar concepts and have learned a lot. I am much better with the animals now, but unfortunately don't have a herd at present. Thanks for noticing my comment.

@@jamolly3447 Also I wish educator type folks would be more careful about the productions they are involved in. There's no limit to the number of great teachers on youtube who have horrible technical faults in productions where they speak. Over/under driven audio, wind noise, bad (boomy) acoustics of the room/hall, etc. Of course they do when there's money on the line, but I try to utilize as much good free information as I can get. Helps me direct my book purchases and further research.
