Ronald was originally a keyboardist for the Commodores, then their bass player left. He taught himself bass, and became their bassist.

Another funny fact, he used to not be able to play and move around alot at the same time, but after some time he said it was hard to play without moving.

I love this song! Ron LaPread can really sing-I didn't get to hear his particular voice when with the Commodores, but you know what? He sounds really beautiful! Plus, I always love the way he played bass with the Commodores when I was younger.
