On the third day of the 2012 Republican National Convention, a special video was presented dedicated to Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas), a three-time presidential candidate and libertarian favorite.
Couldn't have said it better myself, man! It was so frustrating to see how the media treated him. Sadly, you don't get far with this kind of integrity. Hero among men. He was like a constitutional Gandalf.
Isaiah Baker for sure, it was on unfair treatment on both sides of the media sphere. Remember when Stephanopoulos on ABC told him point blank ‘it’s not going to happen’ and that he had no chance? Talk about an objective reporter shaping the minds of potential voters. No one in the establishment wanted him to win. Really is a shame, but not a surprise.
They stole his delgates... It was a RIGGED election, accept the republicans were the ones doing the cheating... He won the Republican nomination for president in 2012.
@@noahsapper6453 I've followed him since 2011. And he has a near perfect Constitutional record. Maybe you're a republican? Because he's perfect to a Libertarian.
the love of my Dr. Paul, I've always watched since I was 17 and now I'm 58. I've always learned so many from you, you are my teacher, my hero, my elder, and my president.
The most disturbing thing about these politicians speaking about RP is that none of them are like him. His son included. Yet, they're "electable" to a far bigger degree than he is.
Very well put. We Conservatives should not be about cults of personality. We are the party of Lincoln and of civil rights! Ron Paul is an American treasure and he is a real patriot. He fulfilled what he set out to do, that of, as you correctly pointed out, changing the conversation. I still have my Ron Paul bumper sticker and lawn sign and will proudly keep them until after the election. Long live our Republic!
Ron Paul's influence has been enormous. Anyone who simply wants to pout and take their ball and go home because he didn't get the nomination is missing the bigger picture. Some people weren't meant to be president but simply to change the conversation, as Mitch McConnell put it. He did change the conversation. No man has a right to dominate the conversation. He didn't think he'd ever get elected. He outperformed his ambitions. Who could ask for more? I mean realistically.
This conversation has completely disappeared. Americans R and D alike now believe the government is there to protect their paycheck, not their liberties. All they ague about is whether or not Trump is bad and to whom they should bestow special privileges.
This video was pretty disgusting considering what they did to him. It was a last ditch attempt to gain his wide base of supporters and it didn't work. We saw through the nonsense. And all the people who said, "If you support Ron Paul, it's basically a vote for Obama"... well, all these years later, it's become patently clear that there was no real difference between Romney and Obama. That was something we said at the time but now it's more obvious than ever.
This is the most coverage Ron Paul has gotten in months from the media corporations and facets of the GOP. To bad that it was all a money grab to get him to endorse Romney. Good try, but Dr. NO doesn't bend for the system.
If Ron was a little bit more charismatic and maybe a little bit younger, he would’ve been a force in American politics, probably president. And if he was president watch he certainly would’ve had a second term.
I have very mixed feelings about this video. It was a nice enough, to be sure and the influence Ron Paul has had cannot be denied. The timing definitely makes the motives seem suspect. The truth is though, that the GOP cannot ignore those among them who have strong libertarian ideals, and that is at least good to see. They know we know that they know that we follow politics far closer than those who stroll in and vote the party line each time.
This brings me to tears everytime. Especially since the RNC did everything in their power that year to keep him out of power. They were forced to respect the man, you can't not respect him
No mention of his main positions such as ending military interventionism or ending the Federal Reserve. Weak tribute video. This is one of the reasons I didn't vote for Romney in 2012.
