O/G Ron Ron talks about his life in this interview with Alex Alonso, growing up in the Overhill section of the Rollin 60s Crips, having a large family based in Texas, Raymond Washington being the original Crip is his uncle. Serving nearly 30 years in prison for a shooting.
He is pushing new movie, "Birth of a Crip" a story on Raymond Washington. Now he is a part of "Step Towards Change" geared towards juvenile reform.

The Majority of Foundational Black Americans in the state of California, and in particularly South Central LA, Compton, Watts etc. Come from five main states. Louisiana Texas Oklahoma Arkansas Mississippi The city that I've seen represented the most out of those 5 states is Shreveport.

Facts because I have close to 200 family members in LA county . I'm from Dallas (TX). My mom and dad stayed in LA and Compton in the late 60's and end up moving back to Texas.

I would say that 80 percent of Black Angelenos have roots in Texas and Louisiana. The other 20 percent in those other states you mentioned.
