He has at many times taken unnecessary shots on Messi. He is an egoistic person in general bcuz he is highly competitive, he gets jealous when someone else is getting attention. It's just who he is. And that is the reason of him being great, he had that competitive mindset. Messi is just good at keeping it to himself and not showing it, maintaining his class. Ronaldo just shows it. A planned interview never shows one's true self. One's character is displayed in unforseen events, unexpected times. And I believe that you never saw old Cristiano and thus don't even know that used to take so many unnecessary shots on Messi now and then.
