The Ronin SC is a great gimbal but DJI’s follow focus for it is not as easy to recommend. It’s a light and compact system but is that enough to make up for its lack of functionality? In this review I take a close look at the pros and cons of DJI’s Ronin SC Follow Focus.

Hey, I randomly stumbled upon this video and it's fantastic. Production value is 10/10, beautiful footage and super professional. The only thing you could improve upon is audio in the portions where you're only showing your hands. (: Thanks for making this!

I bought the focus motor for the Ronin S, and after testing it on two lenses, two different cameras, I found it to be very gimmicky and in general very limited. I will return it tomorrow and order the Tilta Nucleus instead.

Hey buddy! I’m planning to buy one but I’m a bit confused with the sc and the sc pro which comes with the focus motor. I own a canon 250D and i just want to know that, will the focus motor setup would be compatible with my camera? It would be great if you guide me with this so that i can save the extra money which I’ll spend!

Can you attach the follow focus accessories for the ronin-s as well? I might use a small dslr. I heard I have to figure it out with the dji app & firmware update. 🤔

Thumb control: Hold the gimbel with both hands but with the right hand grab around the front. You can reach the wheel with your right thumb now. Strange, but works for me.

Great video man! Really top quality. I was just wondering, I have a canon 250d that I use with a Ronin S sometimes but is not compatible so I can't start recording from the ronin or use some other features. Do you think think that the focus wheel will work for me?

@@katharunkumar4852 I couldn't connect the ronin sc with my 250d, altough I've seen some tutorials where people buy an specific L shaped adaptor that allows you to connect it and use some features I guess. Now I have a compatible camera and the features that I'm allowed to use are motion lapse, start and stop recording, and a few others. The best part is being able to start and stop recording from the gimbal, so you don't have to touch the camera and force the motors (because when the gimbal is on you are not supposed to touch the camera), but I don't find it that important
