What The Cramps did with this song is awesome... They made it sound very atmospheric and creepy... But this original version is also absolutely fantastic... a very moody and cool track

Ronnie Cook lived in Bakersfield, CA, and was married to my cousin Quitha. I used to have another of his 45 rpm records that had a song called Super fine Girl, and the back side was a song called Big Sam's Plush Cats. Ronnie and Quitha had some really cool cars back then.

Listened to this as a teen back in the 60s. The original is best!
