I really hope the pre-order system catches on so that resell dies and people who want the shoe can get it with less hurdles and price sharking. Great review as usual! that colorway is the best one
I have these and love how comfortable these are. Built and materials are top top tier, probably one of the most comfortable lifestyle shoes I own. The Clark sole is crazy stealthy quiet. You can literally sneak up on anyone cus these shoes make ZERO noise whatsoever. But the bottom does get dirty after 3 wears... This colorway is most definitely the best of the 3. I'm not an Adidas guy for the most part but I'm super glad I was able to get these at retail, and waiting 7 months was ok with me.
Just got these in yesterday Sean. Been waiting for them and wasn’t disappointed. This is actually my first “Samba”. One of my top 10 sneakers of the year. Great review as always 👏👏👏
Pre-ordered the shadow greens and they came in last week and I love them. You're spot on with the comfort, these are the rare shoe I was able to throw on foot feel like I could spend all day in them without any issues. My only regret is that I didn't also pre-order these summit whites, they are niiiice. Easy top 10 shoe of the year, maybe even top 5.
Love the concept and design of these. The only obvious major issue with the crepe sole being that it's going to blacken and become kind of nasty. They are comfortable and clean looking at first, but start to look pretty bad after some wear.
My Clarks Desert Boot is all icky and black and sticky after many wears. It doesn't help that i live in a tropical country that's constantly hot and makes the crepe outsole "melt" after awhile
@@taylorleegangunless you own Clarks you don't get it lol. It's a totally different thing with Clark crepe soles. they get very nasty and there's nothing you can do about it. Not like regular sneakers.
@@kevincollins8620two different kinds of crepe soles. I have the AM1 crepes and they almost seem like they repel dirt. I've worn them for hours and the outsole was barely dirty. The crepe on Clarks is much different and it almost seems like it absobs dirt int the sole. It doesn't just stay on the bottom. After being worn enough times the sole begins to turn black and it doesn't really look good. Especially as it creeps up the midsoles. It makes it look like you just finished running in dirt . I love Clarks though. If I could I'd wear nothing but Clarks, Air Max 1s, and Timberland 6 inch boots.
The shoe I never knew I needed for my collection. Premium materials and a beautiful touch on one of the world’s most iconic sneakers. This colorway is hands down my favorite. And of course I missed the preorder and will have to opt for resale. Such is life…🙄😂
Man..... you're usually my sizing twin and I passed on the pre-order because sambas fit inconsistently for me. Mad I passed. I love Clarks and sambas so these are perfect
Got my Savannah pair back at the beginning of the year. Definitely SOTY for me, and technically my first Samba as well, despite having two silhouettes very similar to a Samba. Only complaint is the darkness on the bottom of the outsole, but its an outsole, they get dirty. I don' think it detracts all too much from the overall look. Super comfy, high quality and so far fairly durable.
Finally caved. Great review. I definitely regret passing on the pre-order. I love these but what made me skip the pre-order and what gad me hesitant to lay resell is that crepe sole. They get so nasty and you really cant clean them. I bave a ton of Clarks Wallabees and have recently gotten into Sambas but i rearely pay more than $100 for either model. So $220 was a big ask. I might paint the midsole on these though. That helped me get over the hump.
Love this colorway. Can't wait to get mine soon. Did you get a shipping notification or did they just show up? I feel as if I'm going to be the last one to get my pair. Great review as always!
Hey is the bottom of the sole different than the side walls? Wondering if they did it that way for resole-ing purposes for when it turns too black or worn down and needs a repair
I find it hard to dislike any shoe that Ronnie Fieg touches. The quality, the story telling and release are always a grand slam. Im not mad at these although I wouldn’t wear em personally I agree w you, this colorway is easily the best imo. Can’t wait to see what else he has in store w the brand
Rather pay resell & get my item right away. Instead of paying retail & waiting 6 months. Very rarely is a pre-order worth it to Me. Plus most shoes not too spendy nowadays. The resell market is down right now 4real. Half my shoes ended up dropping in price. Even alot of the rare ones did too. Best time to buy is right now. Before it bounces back.
Yup. I found his reviews off the cheesecake saucony my wife Purchased last year. No one else reviewed them. I went back and looked at his old uploads and we bought soo many of the same shoes same time in the era.
