Ronnie wasn't exaggerating, he was "The Man" in Baltimore! He beat Jake the Snake then Ted DiBiase for each of the NWA Georgia Television Championship and the NWA National Heavyweight Championship. He challenged Ric Flair for the World Championship on numerous occasions including some 60 minute matches. He is right about wrestling not being the same (neither is the town), you couldn't tell those guys weren't trying kill each other. I sat ringside in the 2nd-4th rows and loved it! Thank you Ronnie for the Great Memories!

Excellent interview. I didn't watch any of the snippets posted leading up to this so I could see the entire interview in one sitting. The wait was killing me lol but it was worth it. Unfortunately, I was only able to follow Garvin's career from 1985-1990 but I was a big fan. Loved most of his run in Jim Crockett Promotions and was very upset by how he was booked in WWE. Seeing him go from being NWA World Champion to being a lower mid-carder, who usually did jobs unless he was facing a jobber, in WWE, drove me nuts. It's great to hear him recount how and why certain things went down the way they did.

Ronnie Garvin was great for his time. Very entertaining and physical, the way Wrestling should be. The only think about him I don't like about him is the obvious love he has for money. I understand you should look out for yourself and that you should be compensated for hard work but give me a break. Every program he worked it always came back to money , money , money. Didn't reference the details of the programs as much as he should have. I am not naive I know we all have to live and doing well is important, but at the end of the day we all leave it behind once we pass away. What matters in the end of the day is your legacy and how you lived when you are here. I wish Mr. Garvin the best going forward and I am not bad mouthing him but being over enamored with the almight dollar undermines everything you ever tried to accomplish as an individual. It is best to keep your feet on the ground and your head out of the clouds.

The Garvin-Rougeau feud in 80's was the last great feud of Montreal & Quebec wrestling. Ronnie learned to wrestle at Loisirs St Jean Baptiste on Rachel and Berri from Pat Girard (wrestled under Pat Curry in Europe) where many local wrestlers learned their craft from 50s to when it closed in 1990. Ronnie should be proud of this interview and how he will be remembered.
