Mark played amazing throughout the beginning matches. And one thing I wanted to mention is two youtube channels kept putting up polls for the matches and two of the polls were for Mark. The first against mark Williams in which the poll was lol sided for Mark Williams and then the next with Neil Robertson again that was lopsided voting for Neil. And mark absolutely crushed Neil. I love Neil and Williams but mark just had this presence about him the whole tournament that he was going to win. I didn't see a poll for the final match against Zhou but I kind of bet people would have had Zhou leading that poll too. I'm just so happy for Mark especially winning his home tournament in front of his country men and women. Just amazing stuff. Congrats from the U.S. I wish I could watch the matches live. Unfortunately snooker is not even a word in the American language. Which stinks. Maybe someday snooker will gain popularity here. Congrats mark. Well played all week.
When we see Judd , John and Ronnie being knocked out early, it's clear a 7 frame match is very tough to win..any player can defeat the other. Suspense and unpredictability is the word for snooker.
That's the best snooker I've seen Mark produce it was ruthless the way he demolished his opponent. He went straight for the jugular with bad menace intentions.
It was great to hear the nice words from Ron & Jim, what a buzz, it just makes me reminisce about Higgins, it's nice to look back at the memories of Alex when he was in good spirits he was the ultimate showman...

Tough to win a ranking tournament as many top players are cancelling each other out till the final. The most consistent player deserves to win it this day, well done to Mark. If he had lost he semi finals to Neil.. Neil was my favourite to win this event from the semis but its not easy to win frames to win a match.. such is the unknown thrill of snooker that I treasure.
I really respect what Mark Allen has done. He’s a very good player indeed but will need to win at least one Worlds and the UK to enter the great category.
Marks got that gabby cue action and they’ll all say it’s not good practice but it works for him obviously and when it’s all there he’s hard to beat no matter who he plays as also mark has that never give up attitude he’s a top player and one is like to see win a lot more and hopefully win a world before he finishes
to be honest fair play to him, i was not a fan of his, all the press about how he failed to pay child support etc.. but hes realyl turned his life around on and off the tabel, good on him. I dont think hes triple crown material but the home nations hes decent
Sadly Jimmys last chance of winning the world championship was 1994 but he missed the black when in and Hendry cleared up with lots of pots to the middle pocket 😕
@@Andy-Bodhi are you nuts??? Alex was the best player of his generation along with Davis. Allen is possibly the 10th best of his generation. Higgins pioneered the game further than Allen has. You cannot compare different generations by simply saying one mans best was better than the others man. I'm a better chef than the world's first ever best chef. This doesn't mean I believe I'm better than they were. Lol.
So a player isn't allowed to be confident in his ability Alex was very entertaining but also very inconsistent and was done by the mid 80s..... Mark is great and if he wins 3 world titles then of course he'd overtake him does that mean Mark is more iconic or entertaining no but it would make a better and more successful player.
What is the hostess name, she really handles these conversations so well. Plus a little blink in her eye makes it even more fun and relaxed, she is really professional i think.
