And you can see that we will have another one coming with how abrupt this one ends. Will it continue with destruction or have some sort of resurrection?
Ronnie killed the music snob in me, not only is Popular Monster one of the best songs ever but Ronnie is undeniably one of the most talented people period.
I'm not even that big of a fan in the sense that I don't put them on very often, but if I hear someone talking down on Falling in Reverse, I avoid them because they have no taste and no musical sense.
Been a ronnie fan since I discovered old Escape the Fate back in like 2011/2012. This dude has amazed me EVERY SINGLE year since then. He stops at NOTHING to expand his talent and now here we are, with him flexing on the entire industry. Every major genre is represented here and he does them all perfectly.
Amen brother! My friend asked me if I'll go and see Escape the Fate live, ofc I was all for it, but then I realised they don't have Ronnie anymore and the new singer IS GOOD, but it's just not Ronnie..
The reason I keep coming back to your videos is because of how intelligent you are good sir I genuinely leave learning at least one new thing per video, and today I learned that you genuinely love this band as much as I do, keep up the great videos man!
You cant put Ronnie in a single genre. Even the same song bounces thru genres. He NEVER disappoints. I cannot STRESS ENOUGH how good this band/Ronnie is live. He's ornery as all get out. Unlike a lot of the new rap/hip-hop stars - he can actually rap and Sing. He has a range to die for. And he brought his life back after the trauma. Fan for life here now.
5:46 “one of their best breakdowns”. Oh MrLboyd they haven’t even broken it down yet. I’m on the same page as you though, this band puts out something no one else can even hope to
It's a cool breakdown, nothing too innovative, which is cool, i do like that the breakdown starts on the second beat, so the change feels super sudden. Kinda fun
Dude, I'm with you. Vocies in my head, zoombified, the triogly are all absolutely banging songs. Proper fire, but none of them had the replayabilty of Popular Monster. That song is the one I always end up reverting back toward. But this... This is the same level as that. Its insane!
Popular monster was a bit too mainstream sounding for me. I liked it, but it got a bit tiring the more I listened to it. With the other songs since, it's been the opposite. I can listen to them over and over and never get tired of them.
One of the only modern bands I can put on same level as Falling in Reverse is Motionless in White even though they dont have rap in their music as far as vocals and music I love them both. Still hoping one day they will make a song together would break the metal/rock side of the internet
@@kiedragerl8119 what puts noah over ronnie for me is that noah can genuinely do everything he does on a record live either just as well if not genuinely better, ronnie is good live but he never packs quite the same punch, whereas Noah is flat out the best vocalist i have ever seen live.
Gotta see your reaction of Ronnie's reaction to this. It will happen 🤘 He checks this stuff out all the time and gives credit to reactors for spreading the music.
Song is just so good. I've been listening to ronnie since 2006 when he was in escape the fate and hes come so far since those days. He is beyond talented the switch ups with rap and metal its just amazing. He is almost creating a new music genre. Been a forever fan!
@@darkthoth5908 Hell yea dude. Yea theres always a special place for some escape the fate for sure. Still listen to them from time to time but he has evolved so much hes almost a different person haha Mad respect GO RONNIE!!!
You are so right that no one else can do what Ronnie has done. I'm an old school metal head through & through... but this just hits on so many levels!!!! Mad props bro on your commentary as well! Great reaction to one of the greatest to do it!
"I tried to save you, and you vilified me for it. I listened, and faced my demons and the voices in my head, and you vilified me for it. You want a villain? You've got one."
Hey dude, I love your reactions and analysis of videos. I hate to be a “red pen-er” but your thumb nail says “Thread” not “Tread Carefully” anyways, amazing how much you upload, that’s commitment. Keep up the great work.
You should check out Our Last Night, They do a heavy cover of Kendricks - Humble and its insane. if you like this genre of heavy music, their original music is amazing too. Literally one of the best bands in the genre.
@@MrLboydReacts I mean the switch from rap to rock is a breakdown but already seeing the video and knowing the FIR breakdown is about to hit I get excited to see the reaction
I love how excited you were for a new FiR song you like you could barely compose yourself... And rightfully so! I smacked play on this song the moment I saw the thumbnail, loved it so much I replayed it twice more before watching reaction videos one after the other. Keep up the good work mate!
I saw them at the rockzilla concert in Hamilton on Thursday. Ronnie is such a down to earth dude. He knows he makes mistakes, and he owns up to them, and he even cracks jokes about them too. Before their set, Ronnie was asking where his mic stand was, and he was joking about throwing it. Ronnie will forever be my favourite vocalist
Ronnie talks about struggling with depression. That's the monster he refers to. And the last part is a hope msg for those suffering with that monster. Great song!
Cool little Easter egg I found was on the plane right at the start. It says 2033 on the side of it. That was the year Ronnie woke up in the losing my life video
What a freaking amazing roller-coaster ride of a song!! 🤘🎶🖤❤🔥☠ love the digs at the laptop, Sebastián Bach thing too!! Definite Homelander crazy vibes...gave me chills!!!!
Imagine what it's like to have been listening to him since he was in escape the fate. People bullied the shit out of me because I loved his music. Oh How the turns table
Another video popped up as recommended, and I liked it and wanted to check out other videos. I have never heard of this artist, and I'm sold! That transition from rap to metal. 🔥 I really like your takes I've seen so far. New sub!
Awesome as usual, MrLboyd. For something else interesting and outside of the status quo, listen to Sleep Token. The recent releases (The Summoning, Aqua Regia, Granite, Chokehold) are astonishingly refreshing and genre-bending stuff. The previous album is also full of killer material (Alkaline, Hypnosis, Like That, Atlantic, and more). You're welcome.
I'm obsessed with this song and now Ronnie's work. This song was the best thing that happened to me in the last few years. It's helping me get through a lot that's been going on in my mind recently and I can't stop listening to it as it's what's keeping me going now.
Hey man I love your reactions. Just watched your wifes reaction to listening to Falling In Reverse for the first time and was cracking watching you trying not laugh to your wifes reactions. You should really do a video of her listening to Drugs
I discovered Ronnie Radke this eve and watched all his music videos and then reactions to his videos. 5 Hours later and I'm still getting chills and goosebumps!!! Just WoW!!!
Great reaction! I love watching you, knowing how much of a FIR fan you are. You are exciting to watch. Of course I am a big FIR fan as well. Ronnie is so talented, it’s mind blowing!
I only found Ronnie and Falling in Reverse about 2 years ago and like you, am a huge fanboy now. I can't get enough. I share their music with my family and friends as much as I can. LOVE THEM!!!
I’ve loved them since I was in 8th grade, and it’s so awesome to see how they’ve evolved ever since The Drug In Me Is You ❤ Also, seriously adored Ronnie back when he was in Escape the Fate haha
I like popular monster and drug in me is you reimagined. Zombified. But I don’t like this one. The style is too Kendrick Lamar and MGK ish. Whoa it just dropped a breakdown and now he’s singing. Doesn’t even sound like the first part of the song… what the… Now he’s killing everyone. Idk, this one is chaos . Pretty good chaos, intentional. But not gonna favorite this one like previous ones
I love the reference he makes at the genre-change point: "I CAN'T CONTROL THE MONSTER ANY LONGER THAT'S INSIDE - ZOD!" HUGE foreshadowing to the remainder of the video!
The world you're referring to is Cyberpunk. The concept of Cyberpunk was created by Philip K Dick. Blade Runner made it famous. Cyberpunk 2077 put it in a game world. Now it's pop culture.
I worked on set for this. Crazy how the video came out. I was talking to the make up girl on set, she said the make up on the demon guy cost $5,000. Lol
I am way too old to be a fan girl but f it, im a fan girl!!! Obsessed with Ronnie and FIR 🎉🎉❤❤❤ loved your reaction, you picked up Sebastián Bach getting hammered by a laptop!!! LOL. Awesome
I'm glad my first listen is with you!! I appreciate you and how you support fellow content creators! I was in sceeez live the other day when you popped in and showed support. Much love and respect
I'm way late to this video (and your channel in general, for that matter lol), but i would not be concerned about your time spent listening to Popular Monster. I listen to it at least once a week; some weeks, once a day. 🤣 (Also, I'd like to suggest the artists Grim Salvo. It's trap metal. However, musically it is some of the most interesting, catchy, unique stuff I've ever heard. I'm suggesting them for 2 main reasons; 1. I just think they are criminally unknown and deserve a wider audience, and 2. From the few videos of yours I've checked out so far, I think you may enjoy the uniqueness to some of their music/beat choices. ☺️)
Lol. I would swear you're a proud papa. It's all good. I feel like a proud mama. 😉 Falling in Reverse is stellar! Ronnie is definitely galactic. And ps....there is no replacing Popular Monster! Imo Peace and love always until there is no more!😊❤
You mention how he references Popular Monster in the first couple lines, but he also refers to Voices in My Head. Then the part he is rapping with the demon, his cadence is similar to Eminem and he references Em with “I’m a mother f*cking God” and “venomous”. Also the rocker-type person that gets killed by falling laptops is a direct reference to Sebastian Bach (Skidrow) who once called out Ronnie for canceling a show because of laptop issues. It also could be a stretch but the Hunger Games type location when he references Darth and Disney looks eerily similar to I Prevail’s There’s Fear in Letting Go (which Ronnie has beefed with before). There is literally so many references in this song, it’s incredible.
Unpopular opinion incoming: This one just didn't hit for me. I LOVE FIR, and I guess it was bound to happen, eventually, but I was underwhelmed by this one. I can absolutely appreciate the amazing rap (he seems to improve every time he does it), and the lyrics are great, but the song just seemed overly chaotic to me. The smooth transitions between rap and metal weren't there like in previous songs. It was too abrupt to be enjoyable. That being said, I am waiting with bated breath for the next one to drop. And you'd better believe, when that EP is released, I'll be there for it.
I'm a Satanist and I don't vibe with the whole christianity thing. I was, therefore, never really able to enjoy rappers like NF. I enjoyed Eminem until he went religious, and at that point, I sort of wrote rap off as worthless. I love bars and tight flows, but the religion in some of the songs really annoyed me. When "Watch the World Burn" came out, it instantly became one of my favorite songs of all time, and now I'm discovering Falling in Reverse's amazing discography for the first time. I had no idea what I was missing. I now consider the two most talented musicians on earth to be Corey Taylor and Ronnie Radke, who collaborated on the song "Drugs," another Falling in Reverse banger.
The only artist/vocalist that’s on Ronnie’s level, in my opinion, is Oli Sykes of Bring Me The Horizon. He just does things his own way, which makes them original. I highly recommend them to you! I notice every little thing the same way you do, and their videos also just as deep as FiR!
I love him and I think sometimes he sounds like Tom MacDonald. I'm pretty sure Ronny is the better singer and Tom the better rapper. But lyrically, the two are often very similar. Especially when it comes to cancel culture, the psyche and today's society. I like it a lot! 🤘
Ok so the guy that does a ton of their production is named Tyler Smith. He's a frontman from a band called Dangerkids you should check out sometime. Paper think is really good So is waking up. But Tyler Smith produced a bunch of the new falling in reverse and also the new I prevail album thats om top of the rock charts right now. Give it a shot you won't be upaet
