Generally speaking, it could be just a faulty unit. It seems as if the filters are not sealed properly in the cases therefore letting water escape the system unfiltered.
Could be the difference with water pressure and water value between two different cities This are two different measurements Pressure - PSI per square inch And water flow value - gallon per minute You can have high pressure and low water flow value Or vice versa The refrigerator is using a smaller supply line than the sink, so technically you should have a higher water flow at the sink Regarding the smell of chlorine it may go away after a while due to the new filter However the company may have changed the filter grade That will explain the high flow To summarize: lots of information is missing to make a proper conclusion 1.Filter filtration rating and water flow measurements between the two filler systems 2. Water pressure and flow rate between the two houses And third: maybe the ice maker filter is clogged Bottom line, all I got is a whole lot of maybe Enjoy
I agree to a degree. I did not notice any higher pressure at my new place, quite the opposite actually. Water here has more dissolved solids too so I was hoping to clear it out. 260ppm tap and 250pp filtered. That proves supplied filters are not working as they should. I was told it comes with 5 micron filter set but I gotta feeling it's 20
These filters are only particle filters 10ppm, 10ppm carbon and 1ppm, I presume. This will not filter chlorine and small molecules! 10 years ago you have probably ordered a kit with RO membrane which filters also elements in the water. But RO water also does not taste good, because it is stripped out of minerals and makes you thirsty.
