Very very helpful I just installed mine and followed each step please let me thank you as you are the only person out there that do a proper flush no other videos showed that
man, for reals! Some other user made an APEC video (similar filter system I have) and he never showed the viewers how to properly flush the tank. I'm glad this video did.
Thank you for your help! I just bought a house and found a system under the sink but no hoses! I used your video to buy the roses and stall my new system
23:15 a tip when flushing the Carbon filter is is have your tds reader on hand and either up to a 5 gal bucket or a longer hose to reach the sink and rinse the water testing the water untill the tds is stable or untill you run at least 5 gallons.
Make sure to use an air gap faucet (this is NOT) to be up to code or at a minimum install a backflow preventer on the black hose. Drain water from your sink will backflow into the ro system otherwise.
That's the one thing that has been bothering me. I got my system yesterday and has been wondering about a solution. Amazingly, your comment has been up for 11 months and nobody seems to give a damn. Thank you!
Very good instructions! When I saw the trickle comming out I thought I installed the membrane backwards! I switched the membrane and it works! But now I realize it takes time for the tank to fill! Thanks! My geek pure Chinese setup failed to mention this!
Pushing the drain tube too far down could cause blockages. Only needs to be 1/4" inside the drain pipe to keep it clear. Good idea to flush it first as you did. I never thiought of that.
I have the exact set only with different brand name. It looks like they are all manufactured by the same company in China and then rebranded by different distributors
hey nice video done by you . i have question regarding this system is this that can we put the tank at 5 - 6ft height in the upper cabinet and base unit on the floor . will it make any difference in pressure because i have zero to non space down there.
You got the drain saddle nut and screw wrong. I can see the actual nut cutout where the nuts sit on the bottom saddle piece 07:30. Put the screws in the top piece of saddle.
My system is a different brand and didn't come with the small, blue "C" clips, but it never leaked. Most of the 1/4" lines were very brittle and most snapped in half upon changing the filters, and not not sure where they go and couldn't get a good view from your install and I do not have a line routing diagram. How important is that pressure gauge?
TDS in my tap water is 210 ppm. Do I need an RO based water purification system or just the PP filter alongwith Carbon filter would suffice? Please enlighten. Thanks.
Reverse osmosis systems have wastewater. Depending on the system, for every gallon of filtered water produced, the ro system dumps 1-4 gallons of wastewater that contains the contamination. To be up to code your supposed to use an air gap faucet or something like a dishwasher air gap to keep any drain water from your sink from entering back into the ro system through that black hose.
