Die Hurrikansaison 2022 soll unsere Lady auf Aruba in der Boatyard Varadero verbringen. Für vier Monate lohnt sich der Lift aus dem Wasser. Zum ersten Mal wird unser Schiff nicht in Riemen mit einem Kran herausgehoben, sondern mit einem Trailer herausgezogen. Das ist aufregend. Da Aruba nur ein Hochwasser pro Tag hat und vor der Marina eine Sandbank zu überwinden ist, bringen wir uns schon einen Abend vorher in Position. Ein kurzer Aufsetzer lässt sich trotz aller Vorsicht nicht vermeiden. Das Anlegen in der Slipbox klappt gut. Am nächsten Morgen ist die Crew der Boatyard pünktlich um 8 Uhr da. Freundlich und routiniert geht es los. Jeder Handgriff sitzt. Mit größter Vorsicht fährt Rishi den Trailer. Deshalb zeige ich alle Aufnahmen im Zeitraffer. Langsam aber sicher wird die Lady angehoben und aus dem Wasser gezogen. So gehts also auch. In keinem Moment haben wir Angst um unser Schiff. Die Männer wissen, was sie tun, sind vorsichtig und schnell. Während einer den gesamten Unterboden reinigt, bereiten andere schon den Stellplatz vor. Nach 90 Minuten sind sie fertig. Wir können die Marina & Boatyard Varadero sehr empfehlen.
Our lady is scheduled to spend the 2022 hurricane season on Aruba in the Boatyard Varadero. The lift out of the water is worth it for four months. For the first time, our ship will not be lifted out in straps with a crane, but pulled out with a trailer. That is exciting. Aruba has only one high tide per day and there is a sandbank to overcome in front of the marina. That's why we position ourselves the evening before. Despite all caution, a brief bounce cannot be avoided. The mooring in the slipbox works well. Next morning, the boatyard crew is there at 8 a.m. sharp. It starts in a friendly and routine way. Every move fits. Rishi drives the trailer with great caution. That's why I show all the recordings in time lapse. Very slowly but surely the lady is lifted and pulled out of the water. So that's how it works. At no time are we afraid for our ship. The men know what they are doing, are carefully and quickly. While someone is cleaning the entire underbody, others are already preparing the parking space. After 90 minutes they are done. We can highly recommend the Marina & Boatyard Varadero.
