My instructor references your video in their class. Almost ten years ago and your explanation is better than my instructor in 2021. My instructor is highly knowledgeable and highly educated, but terrible at instructing. Thank you so much. I was lost on this topic in class! After watching your videos, I will be walking in to class tomorrow understanding this topic much better.
Hi Mate, glad to hear that they are helping, i did update these videos so not sure if you have seen these. There are 4 new ones all up starting with this one. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uvSuDjD2Zso.html
Hi Din Thanks for the suggestion however I am not familiar with the correct procedure for indicating water flow. I will have to do some research and considering making another video to demonstrate this.
like your work very much-suggest to indicate WATER FLOW on layout for checking and visualisation...ridge-away perpendicular,hip-away at an angle,fascia-inward perpendicular,valley-inward at an angle,gable-parallel.All water flow arrows should check with roof lines.
for the oblique angle roof, the ridge coming off it doesn't seem straight (very minimal). I could be wrong... I noticed when that ridge was drawn... just wondering if it is dead straight?
Hi Mate, which one? The first one is a straight forward hip roof, the second is a Broken Hip and Valley in a U shape while the third is a Broken Hip and Valley with a Oblique Hip end. Hope this helps
