1/2 bundle and you have to go up the ladder each time, you might as well carry a 1/2 bundle only 40#

watching you climb the ladder scares the crap out of me

Not too safe having to step over the lift. I like the ones designed with the winch. This one not so much.

While it works, There are better ways to make a lift using a vehicle wench. Doing it your way 1/2 bundle at a time is a waste of time and effort. You could make a removable mount with scrap lumber to hold the wench and you could power up and down. As far as stepping over the carriage, doing so while in the air like you did is as dangerous as packing your own bundles up. OSHA would absolutely fine you for using that that way. Better yet, buy a ladder use it and resell it to your local roofers and you would loose very little money.

I am sorry but that will never work somebody might die with that.
