This was great, thank you for content like this, please do more, comp and other classes as well, and other type of racing, small tire heads up,or anything like this,I love those super high rpms!!!
Comp, Superstock, and ProStock are my favorites. Nitro is neat ,but these classes are most amazing considering the technical time spent finding a few more ponies to get that little edge. And Comp.has some of the most interesting combinations of engines and cars out there.
No one was a bigger Modified fan than me, the 5-speed trans and 50-pound flywheel. But in today's advancements, (clutchless and two-steps) what you see with the Super Modified cars is what you'd see in a current version of Modified. If we look back the biggest mistake NHRA made is they should have kept the name Modified and just merged Comp into there. At the time, IHRA's Modified class was a mix of Comp and Modified.
Everything is Trichet the racers say. The problem is that Cobalts and Cavalier pro stocks could be any decent body style with similar aero. Their is a reason nobody watches this class near as much.
