"Country View Acres" kept the goats out of the chicken pen by putting a 90-degree turn just inside the door. Thanks for sharing your little bit of heaven!
Thanks for the laughs. I love seeing what the goats get up too. Seeing them comfortably get through your hole was hilarious. Can’t wait to see the big ball shenanigans they get up too.
Quick fix. Build a tunnel in front of the door. The goats won't crawl through it. Or frame a smaller door in front of the automatic door. The goat ramp is wonderful. Once you get some turf on the roof they will be in heaven. Glad to see Katie back and it would be good to do it more often. Like getting out of the city for the rest of us. Take care and be sure to have some fun every day!
Keep going and pretty soon you’re place will look like Goats on the Roof in Coombs, BC - I’ve stopped there many times on the drive from Victoria to Tofino!! 🐐👍🏻
Great job Greg! You’ve built a wonderful space for the goats. It took some getting used to, but they appear to be pleased. Welcome back Katie, glad you had a good time with your family,& friends.💯👍🏾💕💜✝️🙏🏾🇺🇸
Lived on a farm off and on. Had a peacock, great watchdog. Perched in tallest tree around and told on me ever time I came home late. Moving furniture left a mirror out, he had a fit. So funny.. Our Tom was so mean, know why he was a gift. Hated me cutting grass. Good luck guys. Love the lifestyle. Live the show.
Loving your always fool of beautiful surrounding flowers 🌸 things are getting nicer and nicer....kkkk....very funny watching the actions of those curious goats 😅😊...so cool...they are not dummy....
Hey guys, the cleats are too big and far apart, plus, the boards are too slippery. They can't get any grip to go up or down. What you should do is put some of that rubber roofing or burlap on the boards and make the cleats smaller, and closer together, nailed down on top of the rubber or burlap. Their footing and ability to get a grip is what gives them the confidence that they need to climb.
Greg I thought Katie was the star òf the show but I am now convinced you can hold your own, even if you made a chicken door for goats. Loved that you found the baby chicks & mastered the goat roof. Hilarious😂
I was wondering where you guys have been, lol! I absolutely LOVE the goat path up to the roof!!! The surprise baby chicks are so adorable as well, and that tiny rooster crow in the beginning was awesome! 😂❤ Love you guys!!
Great video so nice the Goats are going to enjoy going on Roof and those adorable babies chickens are so cute take care of yourself outthere Rosa olbera
Will you be putting a door on the goat's exit to the roof when it rains or snows? Will you have to put a window guard that's near the ramp? The goats go down the ramp pretty fast as you noticed.
Love the summer flowers! Greg has such skills in visualizing & putting things together!!! Billy would take a week of measuring & figuring & then another week to get it built!!😂😂😂😂
I've noticed the skimping on detail printed instructions on items in the last decade, but you can go online for the full, detailed instructions, and they must figure it is cheaper than printing it out, sadly stating. Also, RU-vidrs offer "How to" videos on step by step instructions for the users on about every item you can imagine. I look forward to every episode you two make, so keep up the good work.
I love the things you are doing for the goats and chicken entry. I like the things that you do Greg but please address Katie in a more respectful manner not calling her crazy Katie . She’s a very smart nice lady and I think you are the crazy one not Katie!!!!!
Wow look at those veggies , congratulations on your baby chickens so cute , IC the goats are going to love being able to get up on the roof that will be fun for them both, Hi Katie its nice that you were able to spend time with your family and friends well greg was doing a bit of work around the barn. Guess youll have to do something about the window at the bottom of the ramp. what a cute video guys .
You got some beautiful chickens I got some nice looking chickens turns out my rooster was part silky which I didn't really want and they got small eggs it didn't really want cause I sell big eggs and they're very broody so I've been letting them sit on eggs the only problem one baby chick fell out of the nesting box and I'm pretty sure the roosters killed it so the next chick was just a straight black one I got it in a bedroom and it is now my pet but it likes to bite my tongue too much feed it might spit on my tongue but when it doesn't get it it gets mad and bites me so I put her back in well could be a rooster too we don't know but it rides around on my shoulder the only problem is the poop and my chihuahua is scared of it because the chicken tries to ride on his back so he hides I'm trying to find a Barred ROCK ROOSTER Very good video as always keep up the good work guys girls take care and no sex🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hi Greg and Katie. You said you could cut the hole larger for the door. How do you get the turkeys to go through a small hole? Did you put some kind of pad on the ramp up to the house? Have good days!
Looking better and better with each video. I have a question. Is the any concern with the animals since they are further away from the house, in terms of other animals from the woods?
No, they are still really close. The guinea actually alerted us to a coyote the other day! They are more secure in the new barn compared to their old space
How about a chicken ramp to get in the automatic door? Since it's narrower maybe the goats can't manage it. Also the opening would be up higher. Just a thought
I hate to tell you this but my turkeys can go through a normal chicken door and my Tom is very very big Well maybe not now not the Tom the hand could but I just make the Turkey door the same size as their body not the same size of them put em in the pan in the coop and they'll get it their way out guaranteed And it looks like you got the same type of turkeys as I do and Wild West turkeys make your door two inches bigger than a normal chicken door I'm sure they get it the way out of that
so Katie did you not come to Courtenay wow didn't see ya and what lake did it go to was it Comox Lake or as they say Cumberland Lake Cumberlands call it Cumberland Lake Courtenay people call it Comox Lake or did you go to that big lakes by Victoria where did you go to Horn Lake or did he go north island by Port Hardy in Port McNeil I know you didn't go to the Sail Lake cause I am pretty sure the highway is closed from the forest fire Being that your such a good looking woman you must be from Courtenay😁😁😁😁😁😁
@@ThisOffGridLife So did you go to Nibben Falls stokeham falls or the swing in the river at the lake I don't know if the swing is still there behind the old Bevan Lodge been a long time since I've been there used to have a cabin on that river in between the lake and the dam build that when we were teenagers bolded the lumber all the way down that river from the dam at the lake used to do a lot of water skiing and kneeboarding on Comox Lake at the by a wet suit because it's so freaking cold out there then we went and changed and pulled out stumps at Wolf Lake started water skiing at Wolf Lake because it was nice flat calm comox Lake got too busy too hard on the knees all those big waves with all those stupid sea doos hope you had fun and enjoyed it take care😁😁😁You must heard about my last name because families been in Courtney for over 100 years it's Morrison
Hi there seeing as your goats wear collars would a small shock collar work to stop them accessing the chicken door hole? Just a thought then they would learn to avoid the access hatch
Wow obviously you've been on Vancouver Island wear the goats live on the roof right I mean it's famous I don't know why but yeah I guess if you like that it's okay I can't believe so many people go there just because they have goats on the roof I've only been there to deliver RV to a campsite it's one reason why I went there because every time I used to drive by it I'd never seen no goats on the roof but I guess they only let them go on the roof in the summer to attract tourists
I tried turkeys there too much of a problem your best to get yourself a good incubator because the females don't like to sit on nests and then dropping their eggs all over the place and the one that did sit on a nest beside sit on the nest where she got eaten by something else and yeah it takes a long time for a Tom to start melting there I started with six turkeys now I still got two but the hen doesn't sit on any eggs he just drops them wherever she pleases and they usually end up getting broken so the chickens get to eat them and it takes so long to add up an amount of eggs it's not worth putting an incubator it's a lot easier just to buy this small baby turkeys and raise your own turkeys I keep the Tom around here because it seems to protect my chickens but the only problem is these very violent to me because I used to pick up the one female turkey he is with now and bug him and say she's my girlfriend now he's in a 6 by six dog pen cause he can jump up four feet and get me I have knocked him out many a times that's why he's in the 6 by 6 dog pin cuz I thought he was dead I hit him so hard with a stick to get him off me
