Rookie JT Thompkins DISQUALIFIED at the St. Lawrence River

Elite Series angler JT Thompkins has been disqualified from the Humminbird Bassmaster Elite Series at St. Lawrence River for failure to pass a truth verification examination. As a result, Thompkins will receive zero points toward Progressive Bassmaster Angler of the Year and Dakota Lithium Elite Series Rookie of the Year standings.
The truth verification exam was administered during the event Friday, and Thompkins failed to pass exam sections that pertain to Rule C3 ii a and Rule C3 (xiv).
Rule C3 ii a states anglers “cannot gather waypoints or specific fishing locations i.e. creek, river, area of the lake, etc. from any source that is not publicly available.”
Rule C3 (xiv) states “during competition days, anglers may not log onto websites or participate in social media with the intent of gaining a competitive advantage.”

I dont trust polygraphs at all.

Hard to know what the real truth is, polygraphs are notoriously unreliable. That being said my opinion is where theres smoke theres fire and i do believe this duo of rookies are willing to break and bend some rules.

That dude should be black listed, blatant cheating should be black listed, im sure if somone got caught shoving kead in faces would be black listed, so whats the difference get rid of him

Relying solely on polygraph tests for disqualification in tournaments is risky due to their potential inaccuracies. Instead, BASS should use polygraphs as part of a broader investigation, with failed tests triggering deeper reviews by independent examiners. Additionally, creating an independent review panel of experienced anglers and experts could ensure fairness and integrity by thoroughly assessing all evidence before making a final decision. This approach would help maintain the fairness and trustworthiness within the fishing community which seems to be fading.

This one smells off. Lots of rookies getting targeted this season thats for sure. I guess now BASS and MLF should move to EVERY winner EVEEY event getting a "truth verification test" I mean how many you think pass those questions about communication. How many of these guys travel and room together? Have same sponsors? Of course they are talking to one another and we all kinda know it BUT these claims of BUYING waypoints need to be substantiated by BASS if that is in fact the real case. They should have to prove that claim NOT just take someones failed test as the reason for DQ. How many anglers are tested every year we know nothing about during the investigations like MLF Cayuga 2023 ???

The disqualifying shouldn't have happened unless they had proof other than a failed poly. I have watched and suggest that everyone watch the bilge podcast almost 7 months ago where the Zaldains interview a former polygraph examiner. I 100 percent do not trust those results. Wouldn't be surprised if the test was done on a picnic table or sitting in the cab of a truck. I don't think it was justified...
