I just bought one and had it clean the main floor of my home. It took six hours, but I have a very large main floor. About 2 hours between charges and the irobot found the base station each time. I woke up to completely clean floors. I'll now buy another one for the upstairs and maybe one for the basement as well. Very impressed. This video helped me skip reading the manual.

it seems just yesterday irobot released the Roomba 2002, I have a Roomba discovery that works phenomenal, and is over 13 years old, luv it. now they released the 980, i hope it cleans as well as the old models.

I have iRobot Roomba i7+ in your video you show how to setup use smartphone but I not have that I have a computer how do you setup on a computer I know iRobot have wifi and my computer have wifi too so how do you get the wifi work right for the irobot and the computer to talk to one other

I am now the owner of this robot. I go way back to the beginning of Roomba. I had a few and they did not do anything like this newer version.

I bought a 960 7 yrs ago..its been a workhorse…no problems …period…unlike the mistake I made when I bought a s9…I thought Id get a second one when I moved to a larger home….what a pile of crap…Its not smart its Dumb as a rock…So after a year ..I lost it on the s9 after it got lost 1 ft in front of the base….Again!….It is now in iRobot hell…. the landfill…I replaced with a 980….for $225 at Amazon..its a refurb…hope it last as long as the still going strong 960..

My app sticks on step 5, it says connected to the Roomba network then goes no further! Are you an airline steward? I noticed a lot of similarities in your speech patterns and hand motions...just curious:)

Will it work on marble floor

I have purchased the Roomba i7. It is very expensive so I expected a product that worked well. I fought with it for over a week trying to get the smart mapping function to work. When I called help they said just do a factory reset and try again. Much faster to put it back in the box and take it back. Not recommended!

So, I watched the i7+ video first. You definitely talked too fast on this one. However, you learned the pregnant pause well on the i7+. Kudos.

What happened to your 770?! I have a Roomba 562 that I have used for over a decade and it doesn't look as nearly worn.

When setting up the software, you need to make sure you'r WIFI is not the 5GH, but the 2.4GH. I ignored this rule and it was driving me freaking nuts.

Did you use your previous one as a frisbee for your dog?

I had both. First the 980 iRobot which kept getting “lost” in my open concept living area and then the Xiaomi S50 v2 version. Prefer Roomba’s counterrotating rollers to the nylon bristles on the single Xiaomi roller since I had such issues with pet hair with a previous Roomba and the nylon bristle roller design. However, practically-and in absence of a pet currently-the Xiaomi has cleaned as well as the latest Roomba. Most importantly it can navigate the entire house without getting lost, error 17 codes, or running out of battery when unable to find its way back to base. The Xiaomi also does not ram or etch my furniture which was a huge disappointment with the Roomba. I still have marks on furniture let by my first Roomba a decade ago, and I saw little improvement in this regard. In the end, I returned the Roomba. If it is unable to navigate a room unattended, the whole purpose of a robotic vacuum disappears. I run the Xiaomi twice weekly. It must return to base prior to finishing the entire house to recharge, but has finished the job every time without exception. I REALLY liked the Roomba but it simply couldn’t finish the job due to the inferior navigation system. And my furniture thanks me as well.

Although you were very thorough in describing the product itself, you never showed the product "actually" working. I kept waiting to see of you were going to show it in action, but instead, I had to endure you talking about things that I'm pretty sure are self explanatory or are in the quick set up guide, all the while having to hear the word "actually" every 2 seconds! I only kept watching because I thought you were going to show the product in action, but to no avail.
