I would like to ask something about layout changing. I mean, in our commercial building the rooms layout change all the time, so I need to show the past and the future situation (preferencially in the same project ans sheet) so the workers can move the walls and the furniture, is it possible in revit. How would you do that?

here is something that will give a stroke to every revit obsessed architect: put room numbers next to the goddamn rooms. not just fucking colors. colors are for the client but for the contractor we need fucking numbers next to the room number. Im on day 4 looking for a stupid revit video where you in fact Can have(!) numbers next to room numbers on a goddamn schedule. A fucking schedule. pretty colors arent a schedule.
I can see that the boundaries on your rooms are on the inside of the wall, but for some reason on my rooms it catches the middle of the wall. How can I resolve this issue as I would like to show only the clear inside area without parts of the walls?
Does anybody know how to add linear feet to a legend using this method ?? I want to add the linear feet (perimeter) of footers on walls around a room such as a bedroom or living room. This method works perfectly for calculating general areas and perimeters of spaces but for example with footers I need to calculate that perimeter minus door openings.

Hello. When I make a room schedule, the room info is not populating in the schedule. It doesn’t fill the room names in and it read “not placed” in the other boxes. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

I ended up with a number of phantom Rooms, on my schedule. How do I get rid of them? They aren't showing up, when I filter. The schedule says "not placed" for them.
Hi! Maybe it's because you tried to place a room multiple times. It happened to me too. When you place a room and it's not showing properly, revit will continue to remember it in the schedules (in the sheets). If a room is not properly enclosed, you need to use room separators in order to create boundaries between rooms. If you need to delete the "phantom" rooms, just go to the respective sheet, double-click the rooms table, right-click on the phantom room and select "Delete row". This will delete the rooms that you don't need.
