What else can I say? The guy is in love! You can clearly see it in his eyes and actions. I see pairs of my outdoor cardinals that exhibit this same type of behavoir. They feed and preen one another constantly. Such a beautiful thing! There are no dumb animals.

I'm amazed at the depth of feelings these chickens are capable of. This makes me wonder if societies have been programmed to believe animals have no feelings to enable populations to use them as food? Chicken USED TO BE one of my favorite meals. I've developed a healthy respect for those vegans who refuse to eat meat because of their concerns for ALL animals!

Watching Shrimp run excitedly to Basil, and take it upon himself to watch over her and be there for her moved me to tears. Animals understand love and devotion so deeply, that I'm at a loss for words over how foolish people are for sabotaging their own relationships. Why are we so quick to betray and abandon, and animals truly cherish their own mates and families. And we dare to label animals as nothing more than mindless creatures and food sources. The sheer audacity incenses me. We can create a better world if only we just watch and learn from animals' extraordinary example. Unconditional love. Heartfelt devotion. It doesn't take a genius to see how animals have an affect on our lives with their soul-stirring stories and hearts that just want to give love.
