Rooster Teeth Inter-Office SMITE Tournament: Team Lads VS Team Leftovers 

I said it in the Nidhogg video, but hype Ray is best Ray.

this was a game where knowledge made all the difference. the real reason that gavin/ray/michael lost was due to not understanding how arena is played, not understanding what their characters do,and overall just having no idea what they were doing.

First of a, where are the other games? I don't remember what they said and how this works, but It looks like this isn't the first game. Where can I watch the other ones? Also, here's what went down for you new people to smite. This game has many characters each with their own abilities and strengths, as well as weaknesses. As well as MANY different items you can purchase at the in-match store with gold earned from kills and objective clearing, to increase your characters power or defense. Calebs character was bacchus, he is a magical tank. He has decent damage with tons of defense and crow control. With the items he had he was more tanky then he was a damage doer. The game isn't all about kills, as you could see by the end, getting minions to the enemy portal reduces the enemy ticket pool. Gavin's character was Hades, who is ALSO a magical tank. He wasn't doing tons of damage but had lots of defense. And we'll, he's Gavin so he didn't do much damage to affect the enemy team. Everyone else had physical damage characters who have TONS of auto attack damage as well as some good damaging abilities. With auto buy on, they had many damage items that increased their power. Loki, is known for one shotting low health and characters with very little defense. Cupid and Anhur (michaels character) are ranged physical damage dudes known for insanely high auto attack damage. Bakasura (the little dude who barfs) is a melee physical damage dude who can eat minions and then barf them out to fight for him. He can also do true damage temporarily with one of his abilities, which means for a short time, his auto attacks do a little extra damage, and that extra damage ignores the defense of whoever he hit, which is why he could shred the tanky gavin, and obviously everyone else. Hope this overview helped with this match!

I started playing Smite because of LetsPlay. I never regret my decision to watch the weird roosterteeth channel i found 8 years ago. :)

Smite has an awesome spectator mode that basically does all the camera work for you. I kinda wish they had used that, but I guess the 300 second delay would mean we would miss out on all the talking over each other, and let us be honest, that's what we are all here for :)

For those upset with the results, remember Gavin was playing and he is not the best player, also this tournament shows how much Risemongler and Gus play this game, and the Lads wouldn't team fight at all

Okay that was more hectic and fun that I actually expected it to be. Good job guys on round 1. Sad to see the Lads go so soon but I look forward to round 2.

I love AH and all these guys. Hardcore Smite player. Every second of this video I'm yelling at my screen "WTF ARE YOU DOING! AND WTF IS WITH THAT BUILD!" but I can't possibly expect anything except disappointment with them and smite xD.

I really wish that the AH crew in general would spend some time to learn games. I mean obviously they're awesome at commentating, but it makes games that aren't extremely intuitive generally really disliked by them. I was hoping because it was a tournament they'd try playing at least a few games, but it seemed like both Michael and Gavin didn't even know what skills they had. It'd be like if this was their first time playing an FPS, and everyone's using a pistol to try to snipe each other from afar, and only one person knows what button throws grenades. It's sort of fun purely because they're awesome guys, but you kind of wish they at least took the five minutes to at least learn the extreme basics so you could watch them use the warthogs, or assassinate someone from behind. Sorry for the rant. It just really bothers me that we'll likely never see anything that doesn't have extremely simple controls, solely because they refuse to do the tutorials. Still, I'm glad they enjoyed smite enough to make this tournament, even if it seemed like Gavin and Michael just pointed their cursor and randomly mashed q w e and r.

I find it funny that its always Ryan playing Destiny in the background and he always talks bad about it in the Patch...just find it funny haha.

I love how Jack gave Lads a free pass and they still lost by tonnes, should have just started in the bottom like the rest.

I was unsure who would win and am glad it wasn't obvious for most of the time. Good effort, Team Lads. Let's see how far Team Leftovers can go!

The only one in this match who kept playing was Jon (TheRisemonger), who apparently quit SMITE a year ago and only has 16 gods, but 223 skins. Holy crap, Jon!

Once again this physically hurt me to watch. So many minions were left unkilled, and so much spaghetti all over. And oh shit, I'm in this video. Well Sort of, I'm TRHeizer at the end of the video.
